Does players get cheaper towards the end of the window?

Im trying to buy Alexis Sanchez and Coentrao, i see people have gotten them for 12.5m and 3.7m, I have to fork out 30m and 8m. How can I get them cheaper?

I my experience, yes some players get cheaper towards the end of the window if they're on the transfer list but there might be something else affecting the price that I've noticed. If I run just English leagues I've noticed players are a fair bit more expensive but easier to get due to less interest than if I run more leagues in other countries.

Idk about other players but my transfer listen ones do as im eager to get rid of them
