Yes I know this is about my 4/5th Story on FM Base. My newest 'Boinging up the Baggies' just got boring, sorry. But I can assure you this will be my FINAL story for FM10 and I will update every month. Yes, you may slate me, but I will NOT create another Story.
After starting this save over a week ago I thought why not create a Story on FM-Base?
So where do I start? Well I must say, I did go onto FMRTE and set it up as a Sugar Daddy in the foreground. As any chairman does they put money into the club, and with it being background he wont put money into the club, and as Darragh MacAnthony does put money into Peterborough United I decided to do it. And I promise I havent edited the Budgets what so ever.
So I started off unemployed and went on Holiday until June 2010, purely for the fact I hate starting off in 2009 for some strange reason. And after I saw Jim Gannon left Peterborough I applied for the job in June 2010.
Anyway, after finishing 2nd in League 1 we were promoted to the Championship just less than a year we were relegated. This time round the fans were optimistic and thought we could stay there.
So here are the signings I decided to make during the close season:
In:
Giles Barnes- £7k
David Vaughan- £1.2mil
Phil Jones- Free
Charlie Austin- £3mil
Engin Bekdemir- Loan
Kasper Schmeichel- £1mil
Total: £5.25mil
Out:
Danny Mills- Free
Romone McCrae- Free
Scott Griffiths- £70k
Joe Lewis- £1mil
Total- £1.70mil
Pre-Season Results:
Camelon 7-0
Leeds 1-0
Tottenham 1-3
Burton 3-1
Histon 3-0
Altrincham 3-0
Barnet 1-1
GH Academy 5-0
A good set of scoring games with scoring in every single pre-season match. Hopefully we can continue this rich vein of scoring into the Championship season.
Results:
Leeds 1-0 Peterborough
Beckford
Unfortunate not to take a point from this game, but there are plenty of positives to take into account.
Peterborough 4-0 Hereford (League Cup 1st Round)
Harewood, Zakuani, Austin,Bennett O.G
Good game to watch and plenty more positives to show that we can stay in the Championship.
Peterborough 2-1 Stoke
Vaughan, Harewood Sturridge
Great game for the neutrals, real end to end action. Good win against a solid Stoke side with Daniel Sturridge causing all sorts of problems upfront for the Potters.
Bristol City 3-0 Peterborough
Haynes x2, Jonathan
Very bad game for us, looking for a reaction in the next game.
More updates coming!
