Right, first up I'll explain that this is...somewhat different, I plan to win every major league in Europe, before moving onto the piddly little ones. Rules are that once I win the league, I must leave the club.

In game (at time of writing) it's 2024, and I've had several highly successful seasons with KRC Genk in Belgium, I then left to take over the role of Stade Rennais in France.

To bring you up to speed on the in game events, I'll do a season-by-season update of results in all competitions, signings, and big competitions.

Hopefully myself and my laptop won't have a disagreement with each other this time around :S

I think that's all of them, but I'll have probably missed something as I'm an idiot. Hopefully that's everything up to date with the game, next update will be the end of the season :)

P.S Sorry for the muddled screenshots, just wanted to get this up to date as quick as humanly possible

Hello, and welcome to The European Football Show, on BT Sport. I'm James Richardson, today I'm with Owen Hargreaves, and Ligue 1 specialist, Julien Laurens. With 3 games now remaining and Stade Rennais currently 8 points clear, they can seal the title tonight against Montpellier. We head down to the Stade De La Mosson to see if the champions will be crowned tonight.

J.R - Julien, you've watching Stade Rennais a lot this year, have they got what it takes?

J.L - Simply, yes, they've been brilliant this year. Mamadou Niang and Jeremie Boga will be big misses for them today, but they had adequate replacements.

J.R - Owen, what will be going through the heads of the players?

O.H - They'll obviously be very nervous, most have never been in this position before. However, Richard Abbott, the manager, has been here before and will make sure they're calm and just play their game.

J.R - Okay, thanks guys. Now off we go with Steve Bower, and Adam Virgo.

S.B - Hello, I'm Steve Bower, and welcome to the Stade De La Mosson. The line ups have just been released and there is a few surprises, what do you make of the squads Adam Virgo.
A.V - Well, Stade Rennais have shocked me by starting Simon Simons instead of Daouda Drogba. Montpellier have lined up largely how we expected, but will look to push forward more in the hope of pinning back Stade Rennais.

S.B - Ah, the teams are out, and it's Montpellier to kick off, playing left to right.

*4 Mins* S.B - Freekick here for Montpellier, just inside the Rennais half. It's Lasne to take. Forward to Tabert, running inside here. Finds Lambert, 25 yards out here. Tyler wins the ball back, spreads it wide to Laddis, space to run into here. Jebour wins it back, plays it to Jeanjean. Launched forward to François. Marc wins the header, down to Simons. Turns and runs at the defense, out to Addis, chance to deliver here. Jeanjean heads it out, Lambert flicks it further. Tyler, out to Addis, delivers again. Roussel wins the header, back off the post and away. So close for Stade Rennais.

A.V - Promising start for the league leaders. Full of confidence.

*19 Mins* S.B - Dubois wins the tackle for Stade Rennais, drops to Tyler. Finds Laddis wide left, beats his man. Cuts it back...to Simons...onto Roussel...GOAL!! Stade Rennais lead!! 1-0 to the league leaders. The title is in touching distance now.

A.V - What an excellent piece of wing play, the cut back was lovely and the finish was placed to perfection. Massive goal in the title race.

*45+1 Mins* S.B - Tyler, launches the ball in behind. Roussel off after this, and he's won it. Knocks it past Jebbour, through the legs of François. Roussel...GOAL!! 2-0!! The away fans are bouncing now.

A.V - Wow. Roussel has just sealed Stade Rennais the title. There. I said it.

HALF TIME

S.B - Teams are back out. One change for Stade Rennais. Simons is off, and been replaced by Drogba. Early reports are the Simons has picked up an injury.
*67 Mins*
S.B - Laddis with the corner, headed out. Drogba back in. Drops to Roussel...GOAL!! 3-0!! The title is Stade Rennais, surely now.

A.V - Game over. Title over. Well done Stade Rennais.

*73 Mins* S.B - Drogba here, plays it short to Tormin. He turns, space to run into. Into the box now. Goes square to Roussel. Hits it early, it's deflected...GOAL!! 4-0!! Masterclass from Roussel.

A.V - They've been simply brilliant today have Stade Rennais.

*90+1 Mins*S.B - This is it, the longest of long waits. It's finally over. The bench are up and ready. The fans bouncing away. France is Red and Black. *Peep, Peep, Peee-oooo-eep* STADE RENNAIS ARE LIGUE 1 CHAMPIONS.

A.V - Well played Stade Rennais, coped with the pressure brilliantly today. They deserve this title.

And as if to make it even better...

The future is very bright for Stade Rennais, however I won't be part of it. As per my rules, I've won the league and I must resign and find a new team. I'll resign after the final league game/Europa League final (we're 3-0 after the first leg of the Semi's).

2024/25 Season Review

Winning two trophies (Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue), was a brilliant season for the club. Even though it results in me moving on from the club. Getting to the Europa League final was also a massive highlight, although we did get slightly done over.

Player of the year

The focal point of my team, best player over the past 2 and a half seasons, and someone who I will aim to take to my next club. It is the one, and only...Mamadou Niang.

Young player of the year

I was about to give this award to Daouda Drogba for his performances in the second half of the season. That was until I saw that my starting centerback was 17. So, ladies and gentleman, I present to you...Gaspard Dubois.

Game of the year

Which other game could it be? 4-0 away from home. To give us the title.

Finally, I'll leave you with the...ahem...little gifts, that I've left for the new Stade Rennais manager.

And for now, it is goodbye to Stade Rennais :':)'(

West Ham United have today unveiled Richard Abbott as manager. The 45 year old Englishman, left Stade Rennais at the end of the season after winning Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue. He also managed KRC Genk to five league titles. James Alperti caught up with Richard to get his thoughts about signing.

J.A - Richard, you've signed for West Ham, how happy are you?
R.A - I'm delighted to be here, they're an excellent club with huge potential.
J.A - Why did you leave Stade Rennais after winning the league?
R.A - There wasn't anything left for me. The budget on offer wouldn't have strengthened the side sufficiently.
J.A - What's your aim for the club this season?
R.A - Mid table, pushing for one of the cups. Hopefully leaving us with a solid platform to build and challenge for the top half next season.
J.A - Thank you Richard, and back to the studio.

So there you have it, I'm back in England :p
