Doubt about PPM's

When a player has a learned PPM's, does that mean that the "slider in subject" moves 1 towards right? Let me try to be clearer through an example:

Player "X" has the PPM "try killer balls often". If I dont want player "X" to play killer balls, I will obviously put Slider "Through balls" to "rarely".. In that case the player will play killer balls "rarely", "sometimes", or "often"?

Does not work that way, like any player who has shoots from distance even if you turn down long shots to rarely he will still do it quite often. Same with killer balls he will still look for the final ball if you turn down the PI to rarely. If you really want him to not do it - get him to unlearn. Although why you'd want this I wouldn't know, the only players that can learn this ppm need to have a certain level of passing and creativity.
