At the age of 25, Taz had the world at his feet. Playing for Liverpool and even England, making 25 appearances and scoring 10 goals. He was touted as being the face of the new generation. That was until 5th May 2012. Playing in the last game of the season for the Reds, he was caught by a horrendous tackle that left him with a knee injury that ended his career in an instant. It came as shock to the footballing world, that one of their stars had been robbed of a playing legacy.

It has been 3 months since the injury and Taz has come to terms with not being able to playing again by completing his managerial badges, being fast tracked with the support of F.A and now walks into the world of management hoping to complete a legacy from the dugout.

With his status of being an international success, it wont be long before a club takes the opportunity to hire the young and hungry manager.

Morten Gamst Pedersen (3 assists in 4 games)

MGP's assists mean's he has assisted all the goals we've scored in the league. He also scored the 5th penalty to take it to sudden death and kept us in the carling cup.

Month Review

Very Disappointing Month to start my managerial career. At least we have 3 points on the board to build momentum up. We needed a shootout to get into the next round of the carling cup but we are still in the competition. Overall, this month was about trying to blend a new side together with new tactics.

Competition Standings:

Championship: 19th
Carling Cup: Qualified for 3rd Round
FA Cup: N/A

Blackburn Rovers Sack Taz

Taz has been sacked by Blackburn Rovers Director of Football Shebby Singh. Taz's departure comes in the wake of a recent run of bad results for Rovers and the club felt that a change was necessary for the good of the team.

Taz has been manager of the club since July 2012. Blackburn have been disappointing in the npower championship so far this season and find themselves in 24th place. Blackburn have lost three of their last five games in the league.

Blackburn Rovers will now be looking for a new manager.

BBC Sport can confirm that Taz will speak to the press later this afternoon...

FF Exclusive: Dan Walker talks to ex-blackburn manager Taz

Dan Walker: Thanks Taz for joining us this afternoon, how are you feeling after the news of your departure from Blackburn Rovers?

Taz: Thanks for having me Dan, i am bitterly disappointed that it hasn't worked out at Blackburn and very sad that i was given the time to turn it around.

Dan Walker: Do you believe the decision to terminate your contract was rash?

Taz: I feel that i could have turned the situation around if i was given a little bit more time, however, i do accept that the board have the club's best interest at heart.

Dan Walker: What went wrong? The club were predicted to reach the playoffs under your leadership?

Taz: I wanted to implement a balanced approach in the tactics, weighing up the attacking options with the defensive spine in that team. I got it wrong and have paid the price.

Dan Walker: What about the squad? Do you believe they underperformed?

Taz: I can't blame the squad for all the mistakes that have been made but i feel that they didnt have the fight or spirit i wanted in some of the games i was in charge. There were not enough goals but we did have the chances to win some games.

Dan Walker: What does the future hold for you now Taz?

Taz: I'm going to head back and spend some time with the family, i have had offers to work as a pundit but i feel that my heart is still in management. I want to prove that i am not a failure as a manager and when that opportunity arises, you will see me back in the game.

Dan Walker: Thanks for your time Taz

Cardiff City Appoint Taz

Cardiff City have moved swifty to replace Malky Mackay, who has moved to Blackpool, with ex-international footballer Taz on a four year contract.

Despite his short tenure at Blackburn Rovers, The board believe Taz has the potential to get the team into the Premier League.

Taz has refused to hold a press conference as he doesn't want to disrupt the team's preperation for their match at Leicester but has stated he is grateful for the opportunity to manage again in the championship.
