Latinooo Heat.

FORMER WWE wrestling champion Eddie Guerrero has died suddenly at the age of
38 - after collapsing the morning before he was due to fight for the world
title again.

Eddie was also set to perform in front of sell-out crowds on a WWE tour of
Britain and Europe starting this week.

The Latino star, real name Eduardo Guerrero, was found dead this morning in
his hotel room in Minneapolis, America.

He leaves a wife Vickie and three daughters, Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and
Kaylie Marie, 3.

Eddie was in Minneapolis to take part in the main event of the WWE's
Smackdown television show, where he was due to wrestle champion Batista and
Randy Orton in a match for the world title.

With Batista recently suffering an injury, many expected Eddie to win the
gold and add to an illustrious career that has made him one of the best
wrestlers of his generation.

The news was broken to distraught fans by the WWE's website, which reported
everyone in the company "was deeply saddened by the news".

A popular star, with both fans and other wrestlers, Eddie will be remembered
for amazing matches with friends of his, including Chris Benoit, Rey
Mysterio and Kurt Angle.

He was also starting his life over again with his family and the WWE after
almost self-destructing on drink and drugs in 2001.

After finding religion and staying clean, Eddie was enjoying a remarkable
run as a headline star in the WWE - holding the world championship for four
months after beating Brock Lesnar in February 2004.

Family and friends started to worry about the star after a 7am wake up was
not answered.

A call from his nephew Chavo Guerrero to the room and knocks on the door
also went unanswered.

Security then opened the door and Eddie was found dead in the bathroom. He
is reported to have died with his toothbrush in his mouth.

The cause of death is currently unknown, although it is believed to be due
to heart failure.

woo thats un expected at first i didnt believe you but after checking the WWE website its true well i know ill miss him he was a amazing athlete

Dam,thats completely outa the blue. :( To be honest i thought he was younger than 38,but thats still way too young :thud:

The fact that he was still wrestlin and a championship contender makes it seem worse, its a real shock

RIP Lationo Heat

Vickie Guerrero speaks on Eddie's autopsy report
Nov. 15, 2005

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire
sports-entertainment community is still reeling from the devastating loss of
a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com
spoke with Eddie's widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

"It was heart failure. It was from his past - the drinking and the drug
abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the
blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse
from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like
crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the
vessels were getting smaller, and that's what caused the heart failure. He
went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had
the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn't hurt himself in any
way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn't feeling very good
for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn't feeling good and we
thought it was just "road tired." So we thought he just had to rest. It
answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She
said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didn't call me last night and the night before I knew it was for
real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried
through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we
had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so
hard to make a better life for us.

I'm just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It's touched my heart a
lot.

Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put
together.

All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for
that. And I don't know what to do now."

I didnt believe it at first someone told me at school and i thought they were messing me about. Checked the website later on and it was true. Its really sad for someone of only 38yrs old even though he looked younger to die with heart failure. He was a legend.

R.I.P Latino heat!

I really thought this was another ploy from WWE but its come as shock, :( He looked nothing like 38 as well :O

RIP Eduardo Guerrero

I dont watch wrestling anymore except when im bored but he was a legend
