Editing and Networks

Hi,

I'd really appreciate some help!

Two of us are trying to play on online game with an edited database. We've transferred the data (.XML) file to each other. We can both play using the new database in single player with no problems at all. However when it comes to multiplayer we get the error message "Unrecognised record in unpack routine". Does anyone know why this happens? If there anything I can do to fix this?

have you successfully played normal (no edited database) network games? Only the host needs to have the database by the way.

Yes I did, but now, with an edited database (with summer transfers), it doesn't work.
Lots of popups appears and game crashes.

i think its to stop people editing unfair advantages or "cheat" as some call it in multiplayers

Maybe try using a different transfer update

That's what i'll do.
After googling for a while, I found that the bug is caused by some incomplete modifications with the editor.
