EL VOLCANO 3-4-1-2 | Tactical Eruption

Thank you Babemocni for your tactic!

I really like what you did in previous versions of FM ( tweaks and tactics) and i m glad to start a new save with your tactic in Belgium.

Just a quick question after reading your post, do you choose *** man teamtalk recommendation or do you do it yourself ? I use an old routine from Wolfsongs ( from 2010 :D). But i don t feel it makes a huge impact this year. Same goes for shouts, and i m a bit tired of doing it myself, but i m not sure of the impact on team performance.

What are your thaughts on that matter? Thank you again !
I am always trying to hire good assistant manager with high motivation and man management, he's responsible for team talk, but often during the half time i choose what to say,
Regarding shouts
After 15 minutes if you don't score demand more
After 30 minutes if you don't score show some passion
Every time you score praise your team
After half time if your player get yellow card just tell him to calm down to avoid red card
And change his player instructions to easy tackling
If you need goal always demand more
Those are shouts that I use always

VOLCANO V2 – Controlled Chaos, Absolute Dominance

VOLCANO V2 didn’t need a revolution.
It needed precision.

Only a few changes were made, but they were enough to turn an already powerful system into something that feels completely unbeatable so far in season two with Valencia.

The biggest difference? Directness.
With Much More Direct Passing, the game feels faster, sharper, and brutally vertical. The ball travels with purpose. No hesitation, no wasted touches — just relentless forward momentum. Every attack feels like it’s designed to hurt.

What makes VOLCANO V2 even more special is its simplicity.
There are no formation-specific tweaks anymore. No overthinking. No constant adjustments.

The system is pure plug & play.

The only exception is against 4-2-3-1, where I:

  • Don’t invite crosses
  • Focus play through the middle
That’s it. Against everything else? Same setup. Same principles. Same destruction.

And then there are the set pieces — the real game changer.

With the introduction of brand new attacking set pieces, the results have been devastating.
My tallest defender, Yarek Gasiorowski (192 cm, 18 Jumping Reach), has already scored 7 goals in 11 appearances. That’s not luck — that’s design.

A huge part of this success comes from Samardžić, whose 15 Corner attribute makes him the perfect weapon from dead-ball situations. That’s exactly why he was chosen for the Shadow Striker role — quality delivery, intelligence, and consistency. The connection works like a charm.
Pay atention about my squad rating so far!

Fast.
Direct.
Vertical.
Deadly.

VOLCANO V2 is here

Now featuring brand new attacking set pieces – all in one system.

Enjoy the chaos. 🌋🔥

In this new version, do you use the tweaks against 4-2-3-1 since the beginning of the match or if the original instructions are not working?

I start every match with V2 even against 4231
I play focus trough the middle and stop invite crosses only if I see that i am not dominant

@Babemocni1988 !!!
- I really like what I’m seeing so far. We’re playing simple, no-nonsense football and not making things harder than they need to be. I haven’t brought in any new players yet.

Glad to see you are enjoying it.
Just focus on team management, look for atributes when you sign players, keep them happy and you will dominate for a long period.
In next few days I will try to make my own shortlist of the players who fits my philosophy 😉

“I’m really pleased with what I’m seeing. We’re controlling the games – or almost all of them. Now I’ve been able to make signings and bring in players who fit the criteria you set out regarding recruitment and overall suitability. Now it will be exciting to see how it develops.

Casadei is like cheat code for that midfield role,I had him in Torino.
Very good results mate, keep up good work 👏

Well...the V2 seems to fit better with my team (Finally!)

Trying to rotate more the players to be more rested seems to be key (not like the previous year with the V1)

The midfielders finally start to make more goals and play better using both forwards to break easily the rival defense

Great tactic!

What is the difference between one tactic and another, and in what situations should I use them?

V2 is better, more direct and vertical, combination between very direct passing (long balls) and low crosses seems unstoppable

Greetings from Greece, and congratulations for the work you are doing with the El Volcano tactic.
I have started a save with the Millwall team. It is a team that competes in the English Sky Bet Championship. It usually finishes in the middle of the standings every year. It has a very low transfer budget and a relatively average roster. Despite all this, it is my favorite team and I always start a save with it, trying to promote it to the Premier League, and develop it as much as I can.
As for tactics, I have always preferred those with 3 in defense and without (overrated) wingers, so El Volcano seemed ideal to me. I have not used it since the beginning of the season as I had not seen your post. I've been using it for the last 6 games (since Oxford) but unfortunately it's not going well. There's no possibility of transfers, so I'm using the players the team has had since the start of the season with additions from the Under 21s. Do you think your tactics can work with small teams? I'm asking because I don't know what else to do (I've tried almost all the players). I'll keep playing like this and hopefully I'll start winning before I get fired!
Any suggestions are welcome.

Glad to see you are trying it in lower leagues.
To be honest I never tried.
As I mentioned before certain players are needed for every system, especially solid backups,
11 players are definitely not enough because of high intensity.
I dont play for few days,I am very busy, but if you are really like this system I can help you.
Send me your save and soon as I have time I will check it and adjust some things if needed.
But as you mentioned before that you can not do transfers, and if players doesn't fit then some magic are needed.
Send it to me and I will check if I can do something 😉

This is your tactic in a team that i won Bundesliga and Europa League in first season with different tactic....without saving in and loading it 157 times(which is called save scumming).

1.webp
2.webp

Its been set in all 3 spots since day one of the pre season and i kept being overpowered in all games.
Dont think your tactic is that good .....157 saves in 2 seasons is more than curious looking
