We bring you LIVE AJ Auxerre v ASNL with les chardons looking to get revenge over the blues today after they crashed out of the coupe de ligue on penalties:

The teams line up, with youngster Floyd Ayité, the man who missed the decisive penalty earlier on this year left out of the squad after a string of games spent warming the bench. An unchanged line up from the one that beat Bordeaux for ASNL:

Uneventful first half an hour as André Luiz comes off injured replaced by 19 year old Alfred N'dyiae.
Cross comes in from the right and.. YES Lejune volleys home for Auxerre 1-0, oh but the whistle has already gone OFFSIDE no goal. 0-0
ASNL going straight on the attack after that scare with bakar missing two good oppurtunities, first a mistimed jump loses the aerial battle in the 6 yard box after a great run down the left and cross from Issiar Dia, the ball falls to Traore who feeds him in but his shot is well saved by the keeper Remy Riou.
HALF TIME
ASNL go really close and should've scored, first through Hadji who one on one has a shot well saved but the ball falls to traore who gets his feet in a tangle and when he finally turns fires well over.
Another good chance for Hadji as a brilliant cut back from Bakar almost creates something from nothing but Youssouf Hadji who scored a hat trick off the bench the last time they met can't finish here.
10 mins to play, Hadji has been replaced by Curbelo. All ASNL but no good chances yet.
OH great counter attack from les chardons which ends in an awful first touch from curbelo but he finds his way inside unchallenged with a bit of luck and his shot is brilliantly pushed high and wide by Riou.
FULL TIME bore draw

JANURARY UPDATE:
FRENCH CUP 9TH ROUND: L 1-2 vs OGC Nice (AWAY) Traore
LIGUE 1: W 2-0 vs O Lyon (HOME) Marveaux, Malonga
L 0-1 vs FC Lorient (HOME)

Disappointing month in all, out of the french cup, like the coupe de ligue in the first round by Ligue 1 opposition, albeit my putting out a much weakened side.
MOM Gennaro Benaglio - had a superb month, especialy agaisnt Nice and Lyon, unfortunate to concede the goals he did.
DISAPPOINTMENT Floyd Ayité is yet to score for me and doesn't look like he ever will, perhaps he should borrow Hadji's boots since he is injured.
TRANSFERS ASNL have confirmed the signing of Márcio Araujó, the Brazilian DM playmaker has signed from Athletico Meneiro for 300k and is 25 years old.
A true Wenger signing i thought.. Brazilian DM on the cheap! ;)

Interesting read so far mate, keep it up.

thanks, i realy like your Fabio thread! do you know how i might put a picture in before i enter text?? cos at the moment i'm just attaching them?..

nb idea this are u monaco or arsenal read it qwickley but good luck wenger was is a fantastic manager so alot to live upto

lol, i'm neither monaco or arsenal YET! i'm AS Nancy Lorraine, struggling mid table in Ligue 1, i hope to move on to Monaco, then Japan, then the gunners!

Arsenal face disappointment once again:
Arsenal produced a less than average display at home to London rivals Chelsea as they succumbed to a 1-3 defeat! Poor old Wenger is furious!

The second screenshot is of a good young regen who i'm trying to sign!

Dismal effort against Toulouse away provides a 2-0 loss to start off the month. Nothing went right out there, passing was awful, marking even worse. Toulouse weren't even that good.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UPDATE:

Sevilla vs Juventus
Porto vs Arsenal
Man Utd. vs Real Madrid
Liverpool vs Rangers
OL vs Barca

Moscow vs fiorentina

WEST HAM!!! WTF!!!!!

UPDATES: FEB 2010
After a decent janurary, losing to Lorient at the botttom of the table, but winning 2-0 against Lyon, ASNL struggled through a difficult period of games in februrary, starting with a trip to table topping Toulouse, where they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat, through abysmal defending, although better finishing could have grabbed them a point after the 3rd minute opener, before Daniel Braaten wrapped it up ten minutes before half time with a tap in. other results:
AWAY to FC Sochaux-Montbé, again losing 2-0, with RB Chretien sent off.
HOME to giant killers Lille Metropole, lost 2-0, Traore sent off
HOME with 2 stars missing ^^^ to PSG, took an early lead through Youssouf Hadji in the 25th minute, but Peguy Luyindula hit back late in the 84th minute. Brison sent off in the 54th minute...
AWAY to in form table leaders OM, losing 2-0 again
finally HOME to Grenoble, losing 3-2 in the 90th minute.
UPDATE MARCH 2010:
vs. OGC Nice (a) L 0-2
vs USBCO (h) W 1-0
WTF just loaded my game again and it appears i didn't save after the ASSE game! fuuuuuuuuuck! i beat them 1-0 but now ave to replay it.
Overall a good set of results for struggling french manager Arsene Wenger, especially after a dismal feburary for L'ASNL manager. 8 games to go for the new man in charge to sort out his team and stay clear of the drop zone.

8 games to go so i'll update at the end of the season, except for the final two, which i'll do a special report for, AS Monaco, and the last game Valenciennes FC.

thanks to all those who are(n't) following ;)

ASNL recovered well after such a horrible start to 2010, with huge wins over AS Saint Ettiene, and Stade Rennais, winning 3-2 and 4-1 respectively. The wins, including two against RC Lens and Montpellier Herault put ASNL in a strong position to attack 10th place, currently held by Saint Ettiene, unfortunately, 9th place Monaco are now just out of reach after the two sides drew 0-0, though again L'ASNL showed glimpses of quality and perhaps should have scored two or three time, denied largely by excellent goalkeeping.

WENGER: 6th NOWHERE NEAR GOOD ENOUGH
Arséne Wenger is preparing to bear the grunts from the Arsenal fans and media at the prospect of having to settle with Europa League football next year, his team finished 6th despite a final day win against London rivals West Ham. Tottenham grabbed the final champions league spot, though will have to go through the first qualifying round next season after a comfortable 4-1 victory away to Stoke having gone behind in the first half, a brace from Jermaine Defoe helped the comeback :@. Liverpool are another so called "big four team" to miss out on champions league football next year after just drawing 0-0 with Wigan at Anfield.

Nice story, Im An arsenal fan so I'll follow! 6th wtf lol but in my story everton this year finished 2nd so anythings possible i suppose!

haha yeah 'tis true, everything was going so well! arsenal winning, Tottenham losing, liverpool drawing but it wasn't to be! hope you actually follow! a lot of people seem to just say they will then ****** off. you can SUBSCRIBE!

Yeah illl take a look as much as I can, I will be following but mihgt not always comment :)

FINAL DAY:
I tried to get a youtube video up but for some reason my converter can't find it... oh well

ASNL drew with Valenciennes FC 1-1 and therefore failed to finish in the top half of the table, however the game showed positive signs, with L'ASNL hitting the crossbar early on through a Joel Sami header. They finally broke the deadlock when Issiar Dia volleyed in after good work from Cheick Diabate. However it was not to be as Valenciennes equalised in the 81st minute to secure a draw.
screenshots coming up :D

Frustrating first month of the new season for L'ASNL
L'ASNL supporters have had to endure a tough first month in the start of the new ligue 1 season. With just 4 points from four games, it is becoming evident that Wenger's ambitition of creating les chardons into a free flowing attacking team, playing beautiful football is going to take a while. The french team won the first game of the season 1-0 with plenty of chances provided and a good performance against Le Havre FC, but then lost two on the trot before drawing one.
vs Le Havre FC (h) w 1-0
vs AS Saint Ettienne (a) L 1-3
vs Lille Metropole (h) L 3-0
vs Clermont Foot 63 (a) d 1-1

New Signings:
Patrick Vieira (free)
Abou Diaby (£3.4m)
Zezinho (£2.2m)
Tristan Dingomé (free)
vieira_patrick4.jpg

Vieira will look to revive his career after huge success at Arsenal he wasn't so popular under Mourinho at Inter.

Man of the Month:
Julien Ferét (7.12) 3 apps, 2 goals, 1 red card
he has been by far the best player this month stepping into the Fabregas role though obviously not as good!

Disappointing:
Having sold Joel Sami, my awful CB, Damien Macluso obviously had to step into his old role.. NOT LIKE THAT!!! Macluso has been terrible, all my CBs have been, trying to get in Chris Smalling but not enough cash as my chairman seems to have taken most of it!
