If I was to look at Liverpool during my lifetime, the manager that I see most favourably is Rafa Benitez. The manager in Istanbul; the manager that got us to a second final in three years. Also an FA cup winner, and a firm favourite on Merseyside.

Since then, we have a couple of league cup wins to show for our exploits. Hardly befitting of the great club of Liverpool, is it?

So, at this point it is obvious I'm taking charge at Liverpool. This is very much a file to see how I cope with the rigours of diving in at a top club. Turning Liverpool into a dominant force in England would be nice, but as with Rafa, the focus is on dominating in Europe.

So, without further ado, it is time for me to go to Melwood and get on with it. I've got a long summer of rebuilding ahead, after a less than impressive campaign last time out.
