England All The Way

I haven’t seen many stories focusing just on international management so as a save to run alongside my Haverhill save I have decided to see if I can make England a dominant force in international football.

Manager: Logan Rands
Nationality: English
Caps: 67 caps/ 12 Goals

In a surprise appointment England have appointed a previous international Logan Rands as their new manager with the aim of making England a dominant force.
Logan Rands is reported to be earning £79,000 per week.

The English FA would like to welcome you to your new role and wish you every success with England.
The board do not regard the European League Div. A as important and so will evaluate your performance based on results in other competitions.
Your first game in charge will be against Croatia on 6th September 2018 (European International League Division A Group 4)

Logan Rands has announced unlike previous England managers he will undertake to manage every aspect of the England setup including all youth sides to ensure we are bringing the best out of youth. In doing so Adrian Boothroyd (under 21), Keith Downing (under 20), and Paul Simpson (under 19) have been released from their duties but have been offered the chance to come back as assistants at each level although they have all turned the roles down.

At a recent press conference Rands has stated he will not pick players based on reputation but on merit based on their domestic form. This will mean he will attend as many games as possible to find players previously overlooked to represent their country at all levels.

Rands has brought his own tactics to the England set up and he has gone for a 4231-wide and 424-wide.

England’s Gary Cahill has announced his retirement from international football. Cahill made 61 appearances for his country over the course of his international career, scoring 5 goals.

England’s Jamie Vardy has announced his retirement from international football. The 31 year old Leicester City Striker, who made his debut for England against Ireland in May 2015, revealed that it had been a difficult decision but he felt it was the right one. Vardy made 26 appearances for his country over the course of his international career, scoring 7 goals.

Logan Rands has appointed Jordan Henderson as England Captain with Harry Kane Vice Captain.

Very in depth squad list - intrigued to see whether you favour youth or slowly ease out the older players. Regardless, good luck and up the Three Lions!

To be fair I wasn’t sure how much detail to go into, is it too detailed?

my aim is to use youth and develop them through the teams but at the same time I want to be successful in all competitions be it first team or youth so it will be a tough balancing act.

An error from Holland’s Gerard Gorre allowed advanced forward Josh Maja to score a well timed finish from close range. Wonderkid Phil Foden doubled England’s lead with a placed shot into the bottom corner on 18 minutes. Maja added his 2nd goal of the game with a close range finish into the bottom corner on 21 minutes. Goalkeeper Gerard Gorre compounded the misery for Holland on 40 minutes with an embarrassing own goal. The last goal of the game was an own goal from young centre-back Justen Kranthove; an incident which will undoubtedly have caused him some embarrassment.

England and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson then equalised for England in the 35th minute with a powerful shot into the bottom corner from 20 metres. Kramaric scored what proved to be the winner on 52 minutes with a placed shot.

Jack Grealish has thanked Logan Rands for handing him his England debut and told of his delight at earning his first cap. The Aston Villa attacking midfielder added that he hoped he could continue to impress for his club and keep doing well so that Rands will pick him in his next England squad.

It had been a long time coming but Jordan Henderson finally scored his first international goal against Croatia. This was the 28 year-old’s 45th cap for England and the defensive midfielder will no doubt be hoping he won’t have to wait as long for his next goal.

Logan Rands:
A good start to my tenure as England manager other than the first team losing but with Spain coming up next we can pick things up and do well. Dominic Solanke and Josh Maja impressed with their performances and are pushing for places in the first team.

Looking good so far! Nice to see the amount of detail in this, especially with including the lower age groups.

Squad's look strong, though might I suggest a look at Ben Godfrey at Norwich for the U21's?

Also, Max Broughton in the U18's is brilliant, I had him on a Bolton save and ended up using him in the starting 11 in my first season.

Definitley not too detailed - its great as is. My only piece of feedback is that you could maybe add some pictures but a great story so far.

Thank you for the feedback, I have added Ben Godfrey to the national pool as you have to add players as and when you find them. I am trying to keep an eye on all divisions and I do have scouts looking looking but they don’t suggest people very often.
Max Broughton is playing for the U19s currently and is performing well.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven’t added pictures as I type everything on the iPad whilst playing and couldn’t figure out how to do it to be honest

Interesting to see manager all age groups and how you do, but be hard for you to develop players as it down to AI to play them at club level to get enough games to improve.

But good luck and some pictures will be good.

Injury worry for England
Our preparations for the match’s against Ghana and Spain have been hit by the news that Jack Grealish has suffered a tight calf. Although not ideal, Grealish is only likely to be out for 2 days and, provided he suffers no further setbacks, could still feature at some point.

Injury worry for England Under 20s
Our preparations for the match’s against Portugal U20s and Poland U20s have been hit by the news that Ben Wilmot has suffered a twisted knee. Although not ideal, Wilmot is only likely to be out for 5 days and, provided he suffers no further setbacks, could still feature at some point.

Interesting to see manager all age groups and how you do, but be hard for you to develop players as it down to AI to play them at club level to get enough games to improve.

But good luck and some pictures will be good.

Thanks for the feedback

It is tough as I’m trying to pick based on domestic form but as the players are younger they don’t play as much so looking at their stats for the youth team as much as possible. I’m also finding I have to add players manually to the national pool when they are youngsters as my scouts don’t seem to suggest them.

An impressive start to the international period with wins all round whilst the Under 21s and Under 19s have both qualified from their groups with a game in hand. I can’t take all the credit for the Under 21s as most of the qualifying was done before I joined but still a good result.

Logan Rands:
Another good set of international games with the only let down being the draw with Spain when we came so close to winning. We are now battling relegation in the European International League so the next game against Croatia is a must win game. There are a few youngsters who are pushing for a full cap and I will be keeping an eye on them but I also don’t want to deplete the youth squads of their best players.

England have been relegated from the European International League

Logan Rands:
Delighted with the performance of the Under 20s as they stay on course to win the Elite league. However not so happy to be relegated from the European International League but with a lot of changes to the team it was always going to take time for us to gel together. With the upcoming Friendly it is a chance for the fringe players to impress.

Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has revealed his joy at collecting his first goal for England. The 23 year old attacking midfielder told journalists that it was a great feeling to score for your country and he couldn’t wait to pull on an England shirt again.

Logan Rands:
A good set of match’s against Slovakia at all levels. The players that hadn’t featured before really stepped up to the plate and are definitely pushing to keep their places. One player that really caught the eye was Danny Loader for the Under 19s. With 3-4 months before our next games plenty of players have time to impress domestically for a call up.
