Paul **** Exclusive Interview

Mr ****, thanks for coming down here today.

Ed Ames previously admitted he would have liked his assistant, Anthony van der Viek to be caretaker manager - does this add to the pressure of the job?
No, not at all, it is not about the pressure. I can handle the pressure.

What are your aims for the team while you are in charge?
To build a great team for the future and qualify for Euro 2012 for Ed.

Do you have any power over staff changes, or is Mr Procter still in charge there?
I can change the staff setup how I like, but Mr Proctor is always there to approach for help.

Is the team happy that you have been selected?
They are sorry for Ed and his accident but I think they are delighted to get a 'new' manager, especially an English one.

Do you feel there is any pressure going into the job, on the back of England's fantastic World Cup campaign led by Ed Ames?
There is always pressure with a job like this, I just have to handle it.

Thanks for talking to us today, Paul.

No problem.Goodbye.

New boss names starting XI
View attachment 91646
Paul **** today told the media who would be playing against Wales. His starting XI was very young, with the oldest player being skipper Steven Gerrard at the age of 30. Joe Mattock, Titus Bramble, Scott Dann, Victor Moses and Harry Richardson are set to make their England debuts. Gerrard said on the team "I think this team is young but very strong too, we should easily beat Wales. I am particularly pleased that the boss has recalled Theo [Walcott] as I believe he has great ability and potential."
England fans are nervously waiting for the result, not knowing how good this rookie manager is.

England v Wales
Caretaker Manager Paul ****'s first game in charge
View attachment 91651
Wales lined up against the English young guns with a full strength team, including star player Aaron Ramsey. **** kept to his squad, of course, which he announced two days ago. The eyes of the whole nation will be watching the former England international as he walked out of the tunnel.
England Captain: 9. Steven Gerrard
Wales Captain: 8. Simon Davies

Wales brushed aside as England dominate
Fantastic win for new manager

England destroyed Wales today, as the 4-0 scoreline suggests. Aaron Lennon, Steven Gerrard and a Theo Walcott brace helped the Three Lions to victory over their neighbours. The only bad point for **** was that young winger Victor Moses had to be stretchered off on the 37th minute. England were too strong for Wales and the Welsh, captained by Simon Davies had no reply to the clinical finishing from the England attackers. It really was a great game for the neutrals, and one which England will be boasting about for a long time.
Motm: Steven Gerrard (England): 9.2
Paul **** on England 4-0 Wales said:
The match was brilliant to watch anyway, but when your youngsters go out there and win 4-0, it's just brilliant, I just can't put the delight into words. Stevie G was brilliant out there, playing like a leader, Aaron [Lennon] was great and, of course, Theo's [Walcott] finishing was fantastic. I'd like to say 'Well Done lads and keep it up!'

Nice one mate, how many games have you played?
Three games, but I haven't got the best results, just experimenting with youngsters and a tactic, I just want to make the team younger. I'm in February 2011 mate :)
EDIT: Also Edds-99 told me not to go past May 2011

Swiss team lineup
View attachment 91660
Again **** has gone for youth over experience with only one change to his winning side, Adam *** comes in for Theo Walcott up front alongside Richardson. Many people doubt this team are experienced enough to face the Swiss, and England fan, who wished to remain anonymous said "Facing Wales who are about 40th in the World Ranking is one thing, but facing the Swiss who are in the teens is another! I can only hope that Hart and his defence will stay solid and Gerrard and co. can find the net."

Switzerland v England
****'s biggest challenge yet and first away game

View attachment 91668
The Swiss should to be underestimated, they are no pushovers. Switzerland lie 14th in the World Rankings at the moment. Their lineup also looks strong, with FC Basel's Frei and Derdiyok up front. They are supported by Ziegler in midfield, with a solid defence of Arsenal youngster Johan Djourou and Diego Benaglio in goal.
England Captain: 9. Steven Gerrard
Switzerland Captain: 17. Alexander Frei

Poor show from the Three Lions
Joe Hart mistake gives the Swiss a point
View attachment 91669
England were expected to win this today, and maybe the pressure got to them, but they failed to. An Owen Hargreaves header on 12 minutes before Joe Harts mistake in coming out allowed Derdiyok to head it against him and into the net. A poor, poor result of the Three Lions and they will be bitterly disappointed in drawing a game they deserved to win. Hart was great all day apart from his small blunder.
Motm: Steven Gerrard (England): 7.5
Paul **** on Switzerland 1-1 England said:
It was a good game and I felt for Joey [Hart] when he made that mistake, because in my eyes if he didn't make that mistake he would of got my Man of The Match award. It was unfortunete and it happens but I don't want Joey to feel downhearted after this, he did the best he could. I still have a lot of faith in this team and I think it is just a small blip in our fantastic record. I'd like to congratulate Stevie G on his great form (a second MoTM in a row for him) and apologize to the England fans who travelled down to see us, they deserved a win.

We won 3-0. It was my last game in charge for a while.

Good story guys.
Enjoying it.
Is Harry Richardson a regen?
And why did Ed take a leave of absense?
Was that just to spice it up or did Ed actually want to take a rest?

Fancied a bit of a break and I thought it might add some extra interest to the story. Win-Win.
