Is there any way to adjust the formation in the team of the week from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1?

Yep, load up the editor, load the database, click awards on the left menu, search for English Premier Division Team of the Week, click the rules tab and change the formation to which ever you want.

Save the data, load a new game with the file ticked and away you go
