Error message not letting me play Football manager

I am getting he message "Error; unable to find essential data. Please ensure that the game is installed correctly, if the problem persists please contact technical support."

Has anyone ever heard of then problem or know how to fix it. im running FM through steam but i dont think theres a problem with steam because steam seems to be running fine.

I have not come across that problem before mate! have you tried to reinstall it? you can back up your saved games, you wont lose anything...

yeah i reinstalled it but no luck, ill have a read thru and hopefully find something to help. its a bit of a pain though really

not too sure about steam either as I have the Cd and have it installed at home, so dont use Steam! hope it helps!
