I was wondering if anyone has used the gamecast on espn to help them create tactics just been looking at real madrid starting formation and average position

Staring Position
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/gamecast?id=301937&cc=5739
Clearly a 4-2-3-1

but if you click on the drop down box and click average position you can see the midfield is very narrow which I thought madrid would of played alot wider?

That's what their full backs are for.

I thought the midfield would of been alot wider so ronaldo would have alot space to work with

Just had a look at a couple more games and notice when pedro leon plays he stays wide so he must a winger when he plays
