Anyone else think Robben is highly over rated? Whenever I've watched him he's been ****. So one dimensional

When it works it is devastating but when it doesn't it brings the whole team down.

dutchies were buttfucked, they had two chances of goal, the goal, and one off the post.

We had many clear chances, two shots at the post by Ronaldo.. We gave them the control sometimes and they couldn't use it, pretty weak on their part, we saw what Portugal can do, less talented players but more piano-carriers, this shows some promise...

Portugal had very good shape, the Dutch had zero shape. It was going to happen sooner or later, could have been 5 or 6, should have been 3 or 4.

I think we perfected and corrected certain errors of past matches.

As for the dutchies though, I think they were coherent with the shape they had in the tournament so far, no surprise.
Well yes but ultimately it's always good to remember missed chances and not regret them... ^

their shape was so bad, the key to the 4-2-3-1 is the defensive box it creates, that just didnt exist against you. Too many people just didnt do their jobs, and portugal tore them up

Greece vs Germany, anyone else think this might have a surprise? The greeks have a motivation dosis that can lead them to SPARTAN level...

Portugal vs Czech Republic. I like the czechs, sexy football, Portugal SHOULD win, but no use in underestimating the czechs, the moment we do, that's when we lose, we are capable of the best and the worst...

Anything can happen, as we have already seen, but Portugal would be my favourites against the Czechs. Hopefully England can join the QF, must dispatch the Ukraine. 2nd place and we might as well go home. Unless of course Spain finish second...

We'll see, will not be easy for us.
What will also NOT be easy, is Ukraine, they were full of morale and now got shocked against France (some personality by the french even).
Spain will play against Croatia, somewhat unlikely that they will lose, but I think even with a draw, spain goes through first, not sure though, the Italians have two points and if they beat Ireland they can make things complicated for either Spain or Croatia, most likely Croatia.

Very good Euro so far :)

Kuyt should have been given a chance for Holland. Always plays well for the orange.

No need for that mah friend ;) Let this go.
After a lot of time without coming here, i just came to have a laugh, at all of you, that were mocking us, the portuguese people on this forum, saying Bosnia were billion times better before the play off.. All i have to say: LOL. Now i just hope this weak english squad is able to get into the semis, so we can destroy you. Good Night.

It is a very simple thing, having more forwards does not mean better and more attacking play, Holland surely had some hidden problems we don't know about ;) these were more or less the same that reached the WC 2010 finals, and plus, looking at their attack, in theory it is the best attack of the EC ;)

Saddest part is, there was no mocking. People simply said it could be tough for Portugal. Shame he simply couldnt be happy with his own side. Very childish.

Any, this explains better what i meant by Hollands lack of structure: Portugal 2-1 Holland: van Marwijk makes changes, but Holland crash out with zero points | Zonal Marking

There is a lot of infighting in the dutch camp, and it seems to have really affected them as a side, as well as the tactical flaws. But credit shouldnt be taken away from Portugal, they have much improved from last year, and fully deserved the win. Attacks are always built on a solid foundation though, something Holland forgot in this last game.

This Portugal is quite different.
The players are talented but it is not the Golden Generation of Figo, Rui Costa, and others.
This generation is basically the WORKING generation, they have different characteristics and have to be adapted, our strength does not lie in two or three talented players solely, it lies in a full collective, the problem is, the collective is hardly ever fine tuned, but when it is, it can beat anyone, including Spain and Germany, we just have to be in a good day... Of course we also have weak points, but no team is flawless.

Greece vs Germany is very interesting.....everyone thinks germans will win easily but greeks have nothing to lose...is one of those games that the 'good' team if they win nobody will say well done but if they lose willl be disaster.....
greece on the other hand have nothing to lose, they did already great performace in euro no matter what the result with germany will be....so the stress go to germany....we will see....i think greek defence is very strong and german will find it really hard....

Main problems i see is that there's too much individuality in the team, and also their defence is no where as good as other big teams. NO doubt van Marwijk will be fired by the Dutch FA. As for Portugal, they deserved it in the end since everyone the team played well, even if Ronaldo got the goals for this game against Holland.
