Yep, too much individuality and some of them got tired of not being first team players in important tournaments, because of others. In this case van der Vaart and Huntelaar and to some extend the reserve goal keeper. Some of the starting 11 were looking really nervous and playing under pressure, while the subs looked unmotivated to play.

Gratz to Portugal. For many years I think it is the first time they have a team that is the real deal. Gets me back in the days when they played unusual shapes with some direct quick passing and lots of running - real pleasure to watch.

England have got it tough even if they get to the QF.. unless something special happens Croatia vs Spain. I can't see us romping Ukraine but I can see us getting a victory. Please please please England do not let us come up against Spain in the Quarters, having said that, I would not really feel confident against Croatia or Italy, but slightly more optimistic.

Ronaldo did look Unstoppable last night, no doubt one of the best players in the world

On England, I really hope we do Top the group, however, i cant see us out scoring the french... here's hoping the French drop points!

Same, but I think Sweden are a better team than Ukraine, even though they have lost the matches in the Euro's. got better players, hopefully will want some pride back against France.

Looks like the Dutch teared themselves apart as always.

I reckon Sweden could get something against France. After the last two games France will be thinking they can walk it and Sweden will want to win some respect back from their fans.

Holland were disjointed, with too many stars. The focuse should have been the Van Persie/Sneidjer axis, and the players picked around that. Kuyt and Strootman should have started. Afellay and Robben were also too sporadic, and far too selfish.

How Strootman never started over Van Bommel was extremely stupid, Van Bommel is well past it.

Team with Deco, Figo was better imo.

I would give my left ball for Croatia in quaterfinals..
Go Bilic boys! Go Mandzukic!

Think it might be a step to far for Croatia.

I predict Spain to beat Croatia and Italy to beat Ireland, therefore Spain and Italy through to the QF's.

Bulgarian FA fined €40,000 for fans' racism by Uefa. Croatia £10,000. Porto €20,000. Fine for illegal pants? €100,000. Uefa priorities.

I didn't watch the build up for the Spain-Croatia game but was told that Alan Hansen had another dig at Torres again. Seriously why does he have to do it? He moved on to a club who are currently better than the one he was at, just because back in his day the thought of that happening was laughable. Times have changed Hansen, come join us you dinosaur!!!!

What?... All he said was that Torres isn't as quick as he was when he was 24. You can't argue with that.

Pace goes with age and especially injury, its a mute point. One thing he is, is much much stronger and durable for sure. Didn't mention the good points though.

Also getting told they showed his bad moments but nothing good of his? Saw a good tweet which says it all really.

its also funny how we have to listen to 2 defenders talk about how the mind of a striker works?!

If you didn't see it how can you complain? He didn't say anything that isn't true..

If defenders can't talk about strikers, why are you allowed to talk about professional footballers?
