What I will say though is that under Roy we showed promise which is a good sign
 
Didn't Pirlo miss a pen in Liverpool-Milan CL final?
 
**** sake England. Italy were poor, can see Germanyyyyyyyy tearing them apart.. At least we were spared that misery.

Oh well, the Liverpool lads played well consistently which makes me happy.

We showed heart and spirit, but we still played awful football and had Italy took their chances we would have been dead and buried
 
Well done to England. Got past the group stages and held a very good Italy side to a draw which was more than they were expected to do. We should be proud of them, and be quite happy with Roy's management so far. He's done well for the 2 months he's been in charge if that.
 
I'm Scottish so I'm delighted. (Cue Hate messages!)
But I am a Chelsea fan as my dad lived in London for a while and went to Chelsea games, so I can't complain about the way England played (CL Semis and Final), but Italy deserved to win.

Roy Hodgson has done a terrific job so far, so unlike most Scots who would say **** like "*** dA English", I wish you luck in the next World Cup.
Hopefully Scotland are there but we have Serbia, Croatia and Belgium in our qualifying group so unlikely :P

yeah agree with that. Started off pretty well then faded quickly. Personally I would've started Carroll-he's improved and showed what he can do.
 
Is really gutted but the best footballing side went through. My prediction was 0-0 and England to win on pens so really thought i was going to be correct. That Pirlo lad really does need to work on his passing, so many sloppy balls given away......lolz. On the team Milner, Young and Welbeck were very quiet but Rooney was absolutely abysmal. Everything about him, his passing, touch, tracking back was shocking, he did not look match fit at all. Defence was sensational including Glen Johnson who played his best game in 3 years by a country mile. And for the last time English media and haters, THAT IS WHY TERRY WAS SELECTED!!!!!!
 
Looks like Buffons tactics of watching **** instead of England penalties paid off
 
Roy has done well with the time he has had with the team.

We where outclassed tonight but we have talent that can be brought through and we can work on how to pass and keep the ball.

Young has been a big ol bag O'W*** this tournament.
 
Just a fun coincidence, retrace 8 years back and check what happened exactly on this very same day on a Euro's. XD
 
Buffon dedicated his save to Montilivo. The Deserved team won in the end, but credit to roy who has manage to bring england this far with so little prep time.

Wasn't the media and haters all wondering why Rio wasn't selected along with Terry?

And about Rooney, he played 90mins of football in like a month, he isn't going to be in optimum condition. And even if he was in optimum condition, there wasn't much he could do with the Italy defence shutting him down. You could argue that Rooney shouldn't be shut down so easily, but then I'd argue back saying that Italy are renowned for having a brilliant defence.

Man of the Match imo. england were at the backfront mostly with italy dominating the pitch
