I'm hoping Braga go through too. Nothing against Liverpool, but I've liked Braga ever since they humped us (Celtic) out of the Champions League in the summer. Unlike many Portuguese teams (I'm looking at Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon here) they don't throw themselves to the ground at every opportunity. They actually play some decent football. And their stadium kicks ***!

And because Halbard turned you against Sporting for his needless crying XD

God our movement is horrendous. And we never, ever play through balls, which is annoying, as we don't have anyone at the club - aside from Meireles - who has any vision. Whenever someone is on the ball. They hall just stand still almost expecting a miracle. We desperately need Suarez in our team as he seems to be the only one with off the ball movement - again, aside from Meireles.

Carroll hasn't done much, but it's more down to the rest of the team than him. He's been constantly let down by Kuyt.

Also, Lucas is playing hide and seek from the ball. And winning.

Pistolped7 , dont look at Sporting Lisbon please. They are nothing at the moment.

when it comes to european cups i always want the teams from my country to win. sorry if we have more class then english people begging for their rivals to lose. :)

Chill mate, why so defensive, was just having a laugh. And I'm not English, nor British for that matter, and it's not like Braga are your mortal enemies, I just found it amusing (And ironic?) that you follow 'Pool yet you want them to lose at the same time.

Your post is mostly wrong, if you think Braga plays attractive football and doesn't dive, and that Benfica and Porto do not play attractive football, then, you do not know much about portuguese football, not trying to be rude, but I think most portuguese fans here probably agree with me.

But you are right about Sporting, they are ****.

Yes they do.

It's not just them, it's Porto and Benfica too. In recent years when they've played Celtic and Rangers, they've used underhanded tactics. They dive and I distinctly remember them dishing out a bit of unnecessary force.

It's ok mate :). But i am reallllly patriot. And there's nothing above my country. I like Pool alot yes, but Braga is things they'd never expect to , so i wish them all good. Liverpool is always my choice to win european cups. But this year Porto and Benfica have really strong squads.

I'm not saying Porto and Benfica don't play attractive football, they certainly do, and it is very pleasing to watch. However, they ruin it by diving at every opportunity. From the two games I saw us play Braga though, there was only one player I saw consistently diving (right winger, I think). Braga played great football and ran rings round our new side. Alan left Mulgrew for dead almost every time he went near him.

I think it's that Alan guy. He's roasted Wilson on occasion tonight.

So you base your opinion on 2 or 3 games you've seen in Braga, and who knows how many in Benfica and Porto? Some accuse us of playing football as if it was basketball and others say that we have "unnecessary" use of force, this coming from supporters of two countries who play a pretty agressive and fast football. Awkward ;)

I've said, I'm basing this on my own experience. And aggressive tactics are very different to two-footed leg-breaker challenges. Awkward? No. :)

Two footed leg breaker challenge??? Really? I can give you many examples of those kind of stuff, but not from here, in fact, entirely not from here, in the last 4 years, Anderson broke his leg but Katsouranis's tackle wasnt even violent, it was an accident.
I remember Roy Keane ended some guy's carreer. In fact I remember tougher challenges there instead of here, we rarely have those kind of stuff, specially cuz Bruno Alves is at Zenit.
But really, if you want to see if Braga "do not dive" you should see about 1 week and half ago, Alan with Javi Garcia ;)
