Daniel Alves made it 2-0 at the 33minute mark with a superb curling shot from outside the box. On the verge of half time Messi found the net after a superb through ball by Ibrahimovic. The teams went into half time after a rather one sided performance. Hiddink made three substitutions and Bojan, Jeffren and Hleb took their place on the pitch. After 59 minutes of the match had passed Ibrahimovic had shown the fans why they bought him with a 30 yard goal. There were a few chances for Villarreal but they failed to convert, Barcelona opened their defense of the league title with a win.

Just 15 minutes into the game Bojan continued his tradition of scoring against Athletic Club, Barca 1, Athletic 0. The teams went into half time just one goal separating them. Henrique replaced Puyol who had already been booked. In the 62nd minute of the game Bojan made it 2-0. In the 77th minute of the game Bojan completed his hatrick after a real poacher's effort. The game ended 3-0 to Barca.

The game kicked off with Barcelona playing from right to left. It took 18 seconds for Bojan to open the scoring with a wonderful combination down the left half of the pitch. With 34 minutes gone Keita headed a Messi cross making it 2-0. The teams went into half time, knowing the winner. Bojan, who had picked up a slight injury, was replaced by Jeffren. In the 66th minute of the game Villa scored what could easily be the goal of the tournament, having skilled three players he unleashed a 35 yard screamer into the top corner, superb strike. Villa then hit the post twice before the match ended.

Well this is a classic rivalry meeting of two quality teams, with both Barca and Madrid having a beastly strike force. Forlan and Aguero facing Villa and Bojan, we are bound to see a few goals in this game. Athletico had the slight advantage of playing at home. Barcelona opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Messi after a Bojan through ball. Just 9 minutes later Forlan pulled one back after a screamer. Barcelona were back to square 1. The teams went into half time all square for the first time under Hiddink. With two changes at half time Barcelona started the second half. The nest big chance came when Hleb was denied by the keeper. It was in 57th minute that the deadlock was broken when Villa's cross found Messi who slotted it past the keeper. In the 62nd minute Messi completed his hatrick after yet another easy chance. Messi got his 4th from a brilliant shot outside the area, Barcelona on their way to another victory. Forlan got his second with just 10 minutes to go. With two minutes to go there was only one goal separating the sides as Aguero pulled one back for Athletico. Luckily for Barcelona the game ended 4-3 to them.

Well the main talking point of this match will be David Villa facing his old club, both teams will be doing everything they can to insure victory. With just 5 minutes into the game Villa made it 1-0, great start for Barca. Just 15 minutes later Puyol doubled the lead before Villa got his second on the verge of half time. With 2 substitutions at half time Barca started the second half with confidence and it played off. Barca were camping in the Valencia half, unable to find a goal despite hitting the post a few times.

The first half was mostly a disappointment for both teams as neither managed to find the goal or even challenge the keeper, credit to defense of both teams. That was until the dying minutes when Villa was brought down in the box and Messi slotted the penalty. It was that penalty which separated the teams at half time. As the second half began Hleb replaced Bojan on the pitch. Daniel Alves gave away a penalty in the 56 minute of the game. Pinillos stood up to take it… Valdes saved!!! Barca still in front. In the 75th minute of the game Barcelona finally gave in and allowed Toquero to equalize. Barcelona thought they had done it when Hleb smashed one home but the flag was up. There wasn't another opportunity and Hiddink finally drawn a game.

Well the big worry for Barcelona this match is the loss of Daniel Alves whilst Spurs are missing Pavluchenko. The first goal of the game came in the 16th minute when Ibrahimovic marked his return with a superb goal from outside the box. Defoe equalized for Spurs in the 30 minute of the game. The teams went into half time all square. It was in the 66th minute that the substitute finally found the net; Bojan made it 2-1. Bojan sealed the win in the 90th minute of the game.
