I ended up getting Saivet in at the start of my new season, had to pay him around 43K and make him indespensable to the team but to my suprise he accepted the contract, got him shadowing the Yak too and he was well chuffed with that, also, get Eden Buzzard (a belguim youngster ATM) but he wont come till the start of the transfer window in July 2009. I also sold Osman to Sunderland for 8.5 mill and James Vaughen to Wigan for a fair amount too (only sold him as he's always injured and hardly scores)

what tactics are you using mate???
 
Using a solid 4-4-2 formation with Brian clough like tactic. Short, fast passing game!! Not on my comp at the mo but when i am tomorrow, ill put a screeny of my first few signings up. Still want some more in before season starts tho. ive also sold lescott for 11mill as he was complainin about wantin to move to a bigger club. Got another centre half in who im not familiar with but he's just as gud if not better and he was free. like i said ill post screenies up tomoz. And wat dyu lads reckon ?? Ben Foster or Tim howard?? Got foster for free aswell !! and got in a load of better staff so training is now 7 stars on almost all. keep postin fellas !

It will be interesting to see the signings you've made, its hard to get a team together at the start of an Everton game as half the ****** team is injured lol

Federico Laurito is gd, bargain buy got him for free when managing leverkusen, antother gd player Daniel Schwaab, got him on the cheap for freiburg and turned out being pretty much amazing, sold him for 32m to Real Madrid. And maybe Mehmet Ekici for some other german club is pretty gd.

Just about to start my second season now and my squad is ready............. i hope. theres bin alot of ins and outs!! As i said i won the euro cup first season and finished 7th. im hopin to build on that by a considerable margin. im hopin for top 4. and i hav a cushty super cup meetin with real madrid to look forward to. here is my squad and transfers.

I agree with the person that said to ditch Osman, Not needed in the squad. I just sold him for 5M and signed Wellington for 2M
 
Personally, I'd focus on increasing the depth of the squad and gradually increasing the overall quality. Buying in lots of players will destroy the cohesion of your squad you built up in your first season and may make for a bumpy second season of underperformance. Sometimes low budgets are a blessing in disguise ;)
 
I dont really know about ur Ched Evans bid, I have always avoided him and never saw him do anything in the prem for any team so thats a bit of a risk in my opinion. But earlier I saw Lewandowski so thats a great one that guy can score goals like no ones business.
 
Lewnadowski only averaged about 6 goals a season for me, out of about 30 starts, after 3 seasons I retrained him as a RM and he played well there as cover, took him a full season to get to competant it like
