So for the first time in a few editions of FM i have decided to give it a bash in the English Premiership and i have chosen the blue side of Merseyside for this one, some good players and a great fanbase and also get the local derby matches against arch rivals Liverpool. The man to lead them on the march? The man we all love to hate...

Diego Maradona.

Not a lot of major hounours for a fair while most recent was being runners up in the FA cup back in 2009,last won the league back in 1987,and lifting the now defunct UEFA cup back in 1985.Can Maradona bring some silverware back to Everton we shall see......

PRE SEASON

Just before the team went on the tour of the US there was a matter of a warm up match against Droylsden to get the players upto scratch before they left and they smashed 9 goals by a lower league side.

The first match of the tour was against New York Red Bulls which saw Maradona's men succumb to a 3-1 defeat the americans putting on a great display.

LA Galaxy were up next and Steven Gerrard got a very tasty reception in this one,a hard fought game which everton ran out 2-0 winners,Tom Carroll on loan from Spurs scoring a tidy goal.New signing David Lafata also scoring on his debut after moving from Sparta Prague,He'll give good competition for Lukaku up top.

Southport and Barnet were up next a 4-0 and 2-0 win respectively Lukaku and Naismith looking sharp in these games.

And the glamour match against Bayern Munich to sum up the pre season saw a great 2-1 win over the german giants in a match which was genuinely expected to lose, team looking good so far for the season opener against Stoke City.Looking forward to the start of the season

So far so good, obviously the dissapointment in the capital cup match is a concern but the great win over Man City more than makes up for that, need to kick on ever so slightly though.
