It has been confirmed that former England and Leeds United star Austin Powers will be filling the vacant manager spot at Anfield.

At the press conference Powers got asked 'You sit here as the new manager of Liverpool, is this you dream job?'
He answered with a big smile on his face, 'I am absolutely delighted to be here, it really is a dream come true.'

With a transfer budget of £6mil, its not going to be easy to try and re-build the team for the forthcoming season. Powers is expected to make an immediate title challenge and to bring more trophies to Anfield.
 
haha no, but on the manager profile it says 49 caps and 9 goals haha
 
Birmingham have splashed their cash on Ryan Babel on an £8mil move from liverpool.

elsewhere Liverpool have signed Yannick Djalo for 800k. the striker has released that he was sad to leave sporting CP but looking forward to establishing himself at Liverpool.

Liverpool have also signed Jonathan Cristaldo for £2.5mil and James Rodriguez for £1.4mil

however other transfer rumours suggest that liverpool are taking a look at Michael Bradley, Steven Defour and Hedwiges Maduro to increase the size of there squad.

the champions league group stage draw has just taken place with Liverpool having a hard group with such teams as: Inter, Olympiakos and Rubin.

Austin Powers got manager of the month runner-up however liverpool's Maxi Rodriquez get player of the month, Emiliano Insua gets young player of the month and the spainish international Fernando Torres has scored the goal of the month with his goal which came against wolves in liverpool's premier league opener.
