We had Chopera to start with, once he came back from them, he got spat on. lots.

Hence why we shipped him back out.

Lee Clark was also at Newcastle before Sunderland, for 8 years, he also then went to Fulham for 6 years after 2 at Sunderland.

Benjani has never played for Newcastle, and thus wouldn't get a similar reception as Clark, but more likely that of Chopera.

Benjani isn't really impressive anyway and given the money in City, I doubt it'll be hard to find a much better replacement.

Petrov and Sylvinho are both decent players though, but are both getting on a bit, especially the latter.
