Shock-waves have been felt throughout Europe after Barcelona F.C. were
summoned to appear before the Supreme Court of Spain to explain irregularities
relating to their financial deals over a 10 year period.
This story first came to light in the wake of the recent scandal of the Transfer of
Neymar da Silva from Brazilian club Santos F.C., prompting the resignation
of Barcelona President Sandro Rosell.

Santos F.C. released the following statement.
"We are contesting the legality of the transfer of Neymar da Silva and will seek
due compensation for loss of competitive and marketing income."
"We were not made fully aware of the contract agreed with the players agent
and find the secret arangements to defer payment away from the
majority owner of the player, Santos F.C. disgraceful!"
Other European clubs have also issued statements after examining the details of their transfer dealing with Barcelona F.C.
Arsenal, Udinese, Valencia & Inter Milan are said to be preparing a combined legal case that could
see the Catalan club fined in excess of 300 million Euro due to illegal activity in the UEFA transfer market.
