Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is forced off injured in Wednesday's Premier League match against Stoke at the Emirates, sparking concern as they chase four trophies.

He was only taken off as a precaution, tight muscle.

Stream sucks... What did the Walcott injury look?

Hammy could be bad but might just be pre-caution. They might leave him out Sunday because with or without Fabregas i think they could beat Brum. Whats up with Theo.

Whitehead was all over Walcott, Walcott's ankle got caught up in the turf and he fell on it.
Could be a month or so until we see him again if he has done bad damage, could barely walk on it after.

These things can be deceptive dont be negative.

Against Seff Wed the weekend, Roger Johnsons ankle was fell on by Neil Mellor and couldn't get up, and he plays with a broken leg, and carried on.

Arsene is probably just protecting players in this busy period, cant blame him.

DMF You were right :(

Theo Walcott has just been stretchered off

Knew this game would get marred by an injury to someone. Always happens when Arsenal play an important game and it isn't on TV.

Fabregas will grab all the headlines for his injury, but Walcott is the real tragedy.

Ouch, feel sorry for him, Mellor's one fat bloke !

Fabregas has a tight muscle. Walcott is more worrying. If he just 'fell on it', it should be a week, two at most.

Cesc Fabregas’ personal trainer, Juan Ferrando, has contradicted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by stating that that midfielder is fit to play in the League Cup final this weekend - despite already being ruled out by the Frenchman.

The Gunners skipper had been a doubt after picking up a knock in the win over Stoke on Wednesday, but Wenger confirmed on Thursday that he would be without his captain against Birmingham City on Sunday.

But Ferrando, according to the Daily Mirror, said: "We are optimistic after tests this morning. Cesc asked for the change [against Stoke] as a precaution. He noticed a strange feeling but it stopped.

"Cesc could play this weekend.

"If the scanner confirms what we hope, Cesc can play at Camp Nou on March 8 without problems, no doubt."
