Faces not appearing - Windows 7 64bit

Hi All!!!

I'm getting frustrated with this one!

I've recently just got a new PC with Windows 7 64bit installed, I've installed FM2011 and extracted the facepack megapack to My documents\sports interactve\football manager 2011\graphics\faces. Then done the unticked 'use skin cache' and ticked 'always reload skin on confirm', but the player photo's still do not appear?!

I noticed there are 2 sports interactive\football manger 2011 folders, one under %user%\my documents\spor... and the other users\public\documents\sports int... Putting the facepack in both doesn't make a difference.

I've used the same facepack on my Windows 7 32bit laptop in the same location but it works fine. Any ideas?

Do you have a config file in the megapack folder ?
If not download FMXML and make one or the last megapack update and it should have it

It should be in the Sports interactive file with games, tactics, sounds etc

The XML file was pointing to graphics\pictures specifically, rather than faces.

Strange though because I copied the whole folder (faces) from my laptop onto my PC..

Oh well, works now! Cheers mate!

I am having trouble with this as well- the xml file is not there for the 3.0 megapack so i put the xml file from the 3.8 or 3.9 pack in there with the new faces and ONLY the new faces load up?? Please Help!!

Do you have 1 folder with all the images and 1 config in it ??
How many images do you have ?
Do you have any other facepacks in graphics too ?

hi thanks for quick response. Yer I just have one folder full of the player faces from the 3.0 megapack (except I am missing the config). I then download 3.9 changes pack and put the images in there with a supplied config. The images from the 3.9 pack load up but not the original huge 3.0 pack. Ive never had this issue before so dont know what to do. Also no other facepack in graphics either.

I'm having a similar problem. I have a facepack with over 76000 faces in. And the config works perfectly. My only problem is that I updated Welbeck's and Oxlade-Chamberlain's picture to a more recent one. I overwrote the previous images, and used the correct Unique ID's. But the updated image doesn't show anymore in-game. I have used the same image spec as all the others so I can't figure out what the problem is. I have even used FMXML to create a new config file, but this has made no difference. Can anyone help me with this??

sf2rock - Have you copied the contents of the 3.9 changes pack or left the whole folder inside the megapack folder ? Maybe try deleting that config and making a new one with FMXML

FramedAdam - Only thing i can think of is the image you replaced them with isnt quite right, Should be .png in lowercase. 180x180 and named the UID. Other than that im not sure mate, ive never had a problem with overwriting images

Sorted... I looked at both the images properties, and both were .PNG instead of .png. Changed it and now they work. Only problem now is that I don't like the picture I have used *facepalm* but I can sort that myself . Thanks for the help mate.

Download fmxml and its very easy and takes 2 seconds to make a config mate
No idea why there isn't one, simple enough to make a new one though
