Failed to start game (app already running)_

Hello!
any fix yet for this?. I am a mac user and all previous games work fine, just fm 2013 that won't launch and just says Failed to start game (app already running).

I have tried everything i have seen on the message boards and none of it has helped, any advice would be greatly appreciated!.

I'm having the same problem and i seem to have to tried everything that steam has suggested.
