England are currently 4th. I guess it's due to their fantastic 2-2 game against central European giants Switzerland.

Not entirely flawed logic but still highlights the misgivings of the Welsh FA more than anything because Bellamy/Ramsey/Bale/Gunter etc are worthy of at least top 50 and the Faroe Islands has no player playing at any of the top 2 divisions in England/Top European leagues...
Doesn't help when Wales play England and trial a new 'method' getting dumped on their backsides in front of their home crowd then go out to the Nations Cup and get dumped out without that much of a fight.
I could find myself arguing FIFA's case in this and defending the system...But I wont because its the same system that places England as the 4th best team in the world...

Should be 12th imo. Had some right shockers. Wish some England fans would stop going on about the 5-1 drubbing of Germany aswell. It was a friendly. Yeah it was a good result, but...it was a meaningless game

I deserve a painful episode after that post. That has really rankled with me tbh. Never get that sort of stuff wrong. Guess the old age has truly caught up with me now

The rankings are **** and shouldnt be used until they are working properly. Ireland will be in pot 3 despite me strongly believing we are better than half of pot 2 at least. We could also beat 2 from pot 1.

agree the rankings are ridiculous, but believing and doing are two different things, gotta do it consistently, irelands points are such that consistent run would push them through the ranks

The rankings are awesome! Norway goes above France in the next world cup qualifiers
