I don't think their is a thread for this so if their is then i apologise. I thought it would be good to see who is everyones favourate past and present player from the club they support and give reasons why.

CHELSEA:

Past: Gianfranco Zola, without dout in the top 5 of foreign players to grace the premierleague. I actually started supporting Chelsea in the summer 1996 the year he joined so i luckly got to see his whole Chelsea carrear. The man was just sensational 80 goals for the club and numourous assists, sensational technique and a killer free-kick. The game i remember Zola for most was the European Cup Winners Cup Final against Stuttgart in 1998, the game was 0-0 and Zola started on the bench because he wasen't 100% fit. Vialli knew something had to be done so he let Zola loose but didn't know it would only take 10seconds for Zola to run onto a Wise through ball to smash it into the roof of the net.

Present: Michael Essien, this was tough to decide because i could have picked either Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cech but for me i love watching the Bison play. I believe when not injured Essien is in the top 5 Centre midfielders in the game today, his strengh and stamina is frightning. I have always said and still believe Chelsea play better football and are more consistant when Essien is in the side. The game i remember Essien for most was the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the bridge 1-0 down not long left and our amazing home record was being threatened i dare say anymore just watch i think one of the best goals scored in Premiership history.

I will add i just love Andy'd Grays reaction to the goal

Maik Tailor = Beast

Cameron Jerome = Best Player in the premiership

I always enjoyed seeing lovenkrands at rangers (now he's at newcastle:)), now steve davis is my favourite rangers player, his passing is great. I remember sitting in the Broomloan just in line with the left goalpost last season, we were against aberdeen, he struck the ball and everyone thought it had missed but it curled straight in the top corner, outstanding.

As for newcastle, nobody cannot choose alan shearer for their favourite past player, my current player is a tie between Andy Carroll and Lovenkrands (i might be a bit biased), they both scored crucial goals last season, performed well and hopefully they can get a few goals this season and keep us up.

I like your post " PROW07 " nice wee proddie :D

Rangers = Ally McCoist , so many goals , assists and scotland caps/goals and next season 2011-2012 he is the rangers managers

Rangers in the days = Kris Boyd : he will be missed at the rangers number 9 and beating Henrik Larsson goaling tally by a few goals i think it was 161 ? Middelsbrough must get promoted !

Tough being Manc for these kind of threads..

Past: Cantona. This guy turned our fortunes. We were there and there about but with his arrival we reached the promised land and wait was over. He played 5 seasons and won 4 leagues and the only season he missed out was the year he was suspended. ******* class player.

Present: Rooney.

Reading - Jamie Cureton! mainly because he literally lived two doors away from me when he played for Reading and the fact i support Reading :P

Man Utd

Past:Cristiano Ronaldo

Present:Luis Nani

people are saying "past: cristiano ronaldo" hmm...

for manchester united i would say eric cantona.. was always a better player than cristiano ronaldo despite his temper issues heh

can i add joe cole to the past as he has now left ?? was gunna put zola but because this man was one of my favourite players before he left on a free i had to put him. i was so angry when chelsea let him go but i wish him the best at liverpool and i hope he has a good career at anfield except when his playing chelsea ofcourse :P

this is my favourite Joe Cole goal :D against utd in 2006 to seal the premier league title at stamford bridge :D i went crazy after this goal

and now my present has to be Didier Drogba he is just an absoloute beast and despite his age still one of the best strikers on the planet. he may dive alot and act a bit of a sissy but he still grabs tons of goals chelsea need :)

this is my favourite Drogba goal in the fa cup final 2007 because i was at the match and to see him score a late winner to win a cup live was just brilliant and again just like i did when joe cole scored in 2006 i went absoloutely crazy when drogba scored this goal :D

Favourite: Gotta be Paolo Di Canio or Carlos Tevez, two legends at the club.

Best: Only one man, Bobby Moore.. Geoff Hurst could also be up there, with Billy Bonds and Sir Trevor!

really obertan??

im just shocked as most people would be thats all. if i said your favourate player you are looking forward to in the future then i would understand.

It was just a joke mate. This thread is all about opinions, so he gave his. You can hear lot of Mancs say favourite player is Rafael/Fabio even Chicharito, for some exciting potential is all they want.

past: michael owen - he was my favourite player when i was growing up im 13 now so saw most of his career.. I even made my mum name my second brother Owen, so his middle name is Owen.

present: gerrard - because he is just great!!

Past: Hmmm... Would have to say Terry Butcher :)

Present: Connor Wickham!! Praying that Roy doesn't sell him :(

I'm at work otherwise i'd go into much more detail -
Past: We've been so lucky at United with so many great players, but it would have to be that flying frenchman, King Eric Cantona.

Present: Wayne Rooney, a supremely talented player, future United captain, and probably future england captain. A man so dedicated he'd play in goal if SAF asked im
