FC United of Manchester - Following the footsteps of the Red Devils

If you ask me, it is a mistake to upgrade youth or training facilities at this level. It cost money and it will not be very productive for you. I got to PL and then asked board for first upgrades. You really should focus on bringing the best possible players in, there will be time later for youth development ;)

Thanks for the tip.

March

FC United earned glory in the cup! However games are running out in the league and we still haven't hit top spot!

FC United offer Street a new contract.

The offer was duly accepted and onwards we go.

Youth Intake

The first youth intake is finally here and I didn't really know what to expect due to the poor youth facilities and setup. However I was quite surprised that we managed to pull a few decent players.

Heres the intake:

Have a look at Tom Hughes, a 15-year old centre-back from Manchester who could well make an impression on the first-team pretty soon.

Player of the Month: Rico Gomes

It was a tough call between Rico Gomes and Stott. Both scored important goals, but Rico Gomes had a higher match rating throughout March and he just about edged it!

They continue to look healthy and improve which is great news. Hopefully our fan base will keep building, and hopefully we can now push on for a title win.

Player of the month -
Greg Daniels

Greg Daniels finally shown why I've put so much faith in him. He scored an excellent goal and put in some top performances in the four games he played in. Hopefully he can push on and becoming that 20 goal a season man we know he can be.

Where we succeeded: Midfield.

The midfield area really performed well this year. Sergio was at the heart of it, and at the heart of everything good about our team. He really drove us forward and we'll be looking to win the midfield battle again next year.

Where we'll need to improve: Up front.

We really lacked that 25 goal+ a season man. Matty Wolfdenden, Mike Norton and Greg Daniels all contributed goals, but we need that man who scores on a regular basis if we want to earn back-to-back promotions.

Heres our final list of transfer ins and outs:

Season Expectations

We received our expectations for the season and we opted for promotion. This gives us the chance to improve our squad dramatically, almost doubling our wage budget from ?4k to ?7.25k.

View attachment 419483

Transfers

We've lost a lot of players on free transfers throughout the year, and we have a lot of wage budget to play with. So far we've brought in these two gems.

Finances

Profits were announced, and we've earned a whopping ?375k since last year. The board announced that the training and youth facilities planned will go ahead, and we announced a new sponsorship deal.

We've planned our friendly fixtures to make us some more money too. Hopefully these will continue to improve our finances as well as our fitness.
