After looking at the squad i felt it was young and exitig so i tried to balance that with a few experienced heads, tho they were not even a little bit interested in comming to the kerrianne arena, i had 4.8m to spend to compensate for the lack of squad

first signing
steve bould as assistant manager!!!
I saw this as a real coup, i followed this up with 3 good young signings, opting to pay over 24 months i signed
jordan spence 18, cb from west ham - 2.5m
tom heaton 22, gk from manchester utd - 625k
adrian leijer 22, cb from fulham - 575k
dean bowditch 22, fc, free transfer

fc villa real 0-1 rotheram
a setback in historic first league game, even tho we were better side for long periods, a bullett header late in the first half seperated the two sides, pablo mills the rotheram hero

After the league 2 defeat to rotheram, we made two signings -
micheal modubi 23, dm, £1.1m - chelsea
tresor kandol, 26, fc, £80k - leeds utd

fc villa real 0-4 watford - league cup
heavy defeat to championship opposition, even tho we played well the finishing prowess was the differance, could be a long tough season

fc villa real 4-2 hereford
what a day at the kerrianne arena, the first goals and first win for the newly formed villa real, the hero nathan 'the fonz' delfouneso, grabbing a hattrick and junior stanislas with a long range beauty, hereford were brushed aside, the 2 goals were flattering as it could have been more

morecambe 2-2 fc villa real
it all started so well, 'the fonz' opened the scoring, another good header, im suprised just how good he is in the air, then acosta slid the ball under the keeper to make it 2-0
after half time morecambe we always dangerous, former united trainee micheal twiss pulled one back on 51, then jim bentley stole in to claim a point in the 88 minute, the fonz however should have put it beyond them in the 68 minute but placed his spot kick wide

Nice win against Hereford and unlucky against Morecambe!!

Keep it up I'll be reading:D

Lincoln city 0-2 fc villa real
a real hard fort victory here, end to end stuff, before harry forrester fed marc albrighton on the left in the 78th min, he went outside his full back, skipping past another on the edge of box before firing back accross the goal into the roof of thew net, the villa real away contingent were ecstatic, 2 minutes later albrighton hooked in a quality cross and delfouneso stole in to score yet another header

accrington 1-2 fc villa real
another win, and beggining to build a bit of momentum, 'the fonz' opened the scoring nodding home an albrighton cross, before accrington pulled level, second half and damian escudero, making his first start, beat his man and whipped in a low cross, 'the fonz' controlled with his back to goal, turned and fired high into the roof of the net to take the points

aldershot 1-0 fc villa real (johnsons paint trophy)
a game of few chances, but beat by a better side on the day, if we were due to lose then im happy it came in the cup as promotion is the aim, also 4th away game in a row so not too disappointed

fc villa real 3-1 chesterfield
back to the league and another league win, jack lester openend proceedings after 3 minutes, firing chesterfield ahead, we quickly took control however and a ball across the box was turned home by 'the fonz',
marc albrighton put us ahead, beatig two men before slotting home.
The fonz missed a penalty before modubi sealed the win

I think that Delfouneso shouldn't take pens any more he's missed two already

Some very good wins there, where are you in the league now?

Fc villa real 5-0 northampton
lauturo acosta grabbed an early double, the fonz scored, then set up escudero for his first goals in fc villa real colours, then the rout was completed by the ever impressive marc albrighton

aldershot 1-1 fc villa real
the fonz picked up aknock in the previous game that kept him out, his replacement tresor kandol, turned home a albrighton cross to hand us the lead after 62 mins, before the side fast becoming my bogey side equalised with 3 minutes to play

fc villa real 2-0 bournemouth
second half strikes by 'the fonz' and acosta, sent fc villa real second

---------- Post added at 05:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 PM ----------

Shorty, yeah i know what you mean but hopefully it will help him learn
he and albrighton have been awesome, i expected delfouneso to be good at this level, but not this good, and the same for albrighton, second at the moment bradford top!

Some more good results there, unlucky against Aldershot

2nd is brillaint for your 1st season, I think you'll definatley get promoted

Fc villa real 4-1 macclesfield
with the villa real boys in good form all seems well, but i was unhappy with the conribution of stamislas, so i dropped him for barry bannan, who immeadiatly paid back my faith by planting the ball on the head of 'the fonz', who nodded us ahead. Opare swung in a cross four minutes later and 'the fonz' again bulleted home a header, albrighton played in acosta for 3 nil, macclesfield missed a penalty then grabbed a consilation, before albrightons shot cannoned in off stephen reed for an og, that made it 4

burton albion 0-6 fc villa real
delfouneso was lethal today, he grabbed his first of four first half goals heading home a dan opare cross, the two combined again, opare picked out 'the fonz' who didnt even break his stride to fire villa real 2 up, he then turned in two barry bannan corners, second half and burton are just all over the place, albrighton is tripped in the box, penalty !!!
Upsteps the fonz . . . . . . . Converts, thats 2 scored, 2 missed from ' the fonz ' and 5 for the day, escudero finishes the rout against the worst side we have played

Fc villa real 5-1 bury
two goals each from 'the fonz' and barry bannan, put real in control, escudero grabbed the fifth in a comfortable win

crewe 2-1 fc villa real
early goals from calvin zola, and mitchell-king gave crewe the points, before delfouneso scored a 90th minute spot kick

rochdale 0-2 fc villa real
an early spot kick from delfouneso, and a wonderfull curling effort from bannan gave the spoils to villa real against a good rochdale side

cheltenham 0-4 fc villa real
escudero opened the scoring before 'the fonz' grabbed a brace, barry bannan completed the scoring before half time

northampton 1-1 fc villa real
first half goal from tresor kandol, a replacement for the injured delfouneso, and a late strike from ryan gilligan, left honers even, replay at the kerrianne arena

Your scoring for fun at the moment, what tactics are you using?

Shrewsbury 1-2 fc villa real
a tough game here, and no delfouneso, but barry bannan grabbed 2 goals in the first three minutes, the shrews rallied tho, and 5 minutes before half time grant holt, got them back in the game with a calm finish after a great cross from the left, but fc villa real held on to continue there impressive start to the season

fc villa real 6-0 northampton - fa cup replay
two early goals from acosta, and a third from 'the fonz' on his return to first team duty, set up an interesting looking tie, possibly against afc wimbledon, the fonz made it four from the spot, after he was fouled in the box. In the second half masc albrighton and damian escudero made it 6!!

Breaking news - fc villa real loan manucho with a view to a permanent transfer

fc villa real 2-0 bradford
massive top of the table clash, the young villa real stars have proved to be a step above this level so far, and it seems to be the case again here as delfouneso gives real the lead, and acosta doubles it before half time, second half was a tighter affair after leijer was sent off for two bookable offences

you seem to be doing really well there mate. You have done well with that well done

just out of curiousity how many has nathan delfounso scored..? looks like you doing good keep it up

There was a tactic i dowloaded off here and as long as you follow it it works quite well, the key is getting your wingers to cross from mixed, cross often and aim for target man, no prizes for guessing the fonz is my target man, you need a striker who links play and an out and out striker to balance the side, its important tho to play your holding man in midfield and make sure he sits and protects the back 4

Nathan 'the fonz' delfouneso is a beast at this level, but it helps making him the focal point of the side and two good wingers to supply him
