Turkey's Hamit Altintop has won the FIFA Goal of the Year award (known at the Puskas award, named after the Hungarian great), beating off competition from around the world.
Altintop's sensational volley for Turkey against Kazakhstan was voted number one in the list, ahead of nine other strikes. Also in the running was little known Glentoran man Matthew Burrows, who scored an incredible mid-air back-heel flick into the top corner. All contenders are in the video below.
1. Gio Van Bronckhorst - Holland
2. Neymar - Santos
3. Matthew Burrows - Glentoran
4. Hamit Altintop - Turkey - WINNER
5. Samir Nasri - Arsenal
6. Lionel Messi - Barcelona
7. Linus Hallenius - Hammarby (now Genoa)
8. Arjen Robben - FC Bayern
9. Siphiwe Tshabalala - S. Africa
10. Kumi Yokohama

Personally, I think Burrows should've won.
