Good luck Harry. Good layout. (H)

O/T but please enlighten me to why you think Stockport have a rivalry with Burnley. Is it just the P/O final defeat in '94? or is it something more?

My dad taught me a song when I was about 8:
We hate Burnley and we hate Burnley, we hate Burnley and we hate Burnley, We hate Burnley and we hate Burnley, We are the Burnley Haters (H)

Yes, they got Chris Beaumont and someone else sent off.
And 16 years later we still cant get over it!
I mean I'm SCFC Til I Die, but we need to get over it :|

Cheers mate.
I'll be following, I love these threads!!
Thanks mate.
I know Stockport consider us rivals, it is not a feeling that is reciprocated.

So I just wanted to know why, really.

EDIT: I Didn't want to hijack your thread so to get back on topic. Interesting twist on the usual story, what tier is the Unibond 1st Division?
Play Off Final 1994 - See this .Pdf to see how serious we are about it :$ -http://www.footballfanscensus.com/issueresults/Club_Rivalries_Uncovered_Results.pdf

UniBond 1st Division is Level 8 I think :) Cheers for following.

My First Month at Salford was somewhat of a rollercoaster ride. I think it was blatently obvious the second that I had stepped through the gates of the training ground that I had a weakened & demoralised squad on my hands and that getting any major success out of them would be tough. On the other hand, I had a strong scouting system and a very knowledgable coaching setup, which was bound to help me get used to my surroundings and bring in new players.

My initial interest at the club was to build up my reputation and gain interest from other clubs. But over the past month I have stripped the club down and completely rebuilt them into my own. I made 8 transfers, every one of the players that I brought in would be playing regular first team football at the club and would play a vital part throughout our campaign.

The Transfers

wesbaynes.png

Wes Baynes - RB. I used my links within Wales to bring in one of my star signings, Baynes will be playing a vital part in our side as he fills the gap we have had in the Right Back Position.

tommylaws.png

Tommy Laws - CB. An amazing free transfer on my teams behalf. The powerful Centre Back will play a massive part in our effort this season.

gianlucahavern.png

Gianluca Havern - CB. A player who in my opinion is one of the summers best signings. He holds together the defense and links up with Laws well. I used my knowledge of Stockport to bring in the young centre back.

declanedwards.png

Declan Edwards - ST. Another Stockport loan signing. The striker knows where the net is and will lead the line on his own throughout the season.

dannyrowe.png

Danny Rowe - LW. A third Stockport loan signing. The young winger supplies pace and passing ability into the side and will be ever-present in the campaign.

bencoppingers.png

Ben Coppingers - GK. A player who came through the youth ranks at Stockport. The young keeper was the best option during preseason and has been playing far beyond his stats.

andrewtutte.png

Andrew Tutte - CM. The young midfielder came on loan from Manchester City and is being touted as my star signing this season. The flamboyant midfielder has performed well during preseason and his good form isnt expected to end any time soon.

alexdawson.png

Alex Dawson - LB. A decent signing, just about up to scratch to hold a place in the side. Should do a decent job for us.

The next thing on my agenda was to arrange friendlies for my side. I decided to give 2 of the clubs who I had played at during my days in Wales a ring. Aberman Athletic & Elements Cefn Druids. All clubs agreed to play us in the preseason as we toured the country.

Welsh Tour

Cefn Druids 1-0 Salford
Good performance, solid display from the lads. We did well to only concede one, Coppinger seemed consistent at the back as he was relied upon on many occasions.

Frank Burrow's Review: Coppinger was no doubt the man of the match. At times Laws and Havern seemed lost in a world of their own and he was there to pick up the pieces, good for the lad. A new style of play might be required though due to over congestion at the top, with Rowe, Fitzpatrick, Edwards and Gedson all packing into the box in attacking moves.

Aberaman 1-1 Salford
Again, Coppinger was solid at the back but the defense seemed improved and more of a cohesive unit overall. Fitzpatrick took his goal well, he performed above the rest of the team and can be proud of his performance today.

Frank Burrow's Review: Aberaman are a team who play a few flights above Salford so Ricky can be proud of his result today. Fitzpatrick definately seemed more confident in the Right Wing spot and fired crosses in from deep positions to make the oppisition suffer.

As I sat down at home to watch the Football League Highlights with my girlfriend who I met on an internet dating site, I began to remeniss on where I was just 8 years ago. Sat on a cold bench waiting to be brought onto the disgrace of a pitch which welsh part time football provides and now I can actually see the bright lights of English league football awaiting me, I wasnt going to stall in moving to a bigger club on my way to the big time, hopefully I make it sooner rather than later.

In the next update.... Richard Parry's first Official Interview as Salford FC manager, The result of the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying round Vs Mosely & the roundup of his first 2 months in the Unibond 1st Division.

Nice story bud, and if you get the sack you've got a trade to fall back on! Reckon you can U-bend it like Beckham tho'!

Good signings, and not so good with the results, but keep it up.

:)

I always loved unemployed games! Do one myself on every FM with no experience. Good luck
