Really enjoyed reading this from start to finish just there. Really dominant second season!

Mario Gotze looked like he really did the business for you, even with you mentioning him as backup a few times. Januzaj and Mata as well. Chico chipping in with a lot of goals.

I'm shortly to begin my second season with United. Have sold RVP and plan to sell Rooney and Falcao. Will be promoting Henriquez when he comes back from loan, also have Munir. Was toying with the idea of keeping Hernandez and you seem to have gotten serious results from him. So might go with that trio for the coming season.

Gotze though, just wow. Where were you playing him?

Gotze has played on the left and right wing as a inside forward. Has been used in a few games as AMC if i've been pushing for a goal. Only player i've ever had thats i really enjoyed playing as an AMC. Def keep Hernandez! he did all that as a back up. Played far less than Falcao.

End of Season

Lots of work to go on at Old Trafford with the Stadium being upgraded to hold 84953
Youth & Training facilities getting an upgrade too.
Arsene Wenger quits Arsenal after two poor seasons. Frank De Boer takes over.
Harry Rednapp retires & is replaced by Simon Grayson, David Moyes takes over at West Ham after they sack Chris Houston. Neil Warnock also retired & Paul Lambert takes over.
Motherwell win the SPL

Wayne Rooney wins Footballer of the year
Falcao's 32 goals won the golden boot with Hernandez in 2nd with 21
De Gea wins the golden glove with 20 clean sheets
I win Manager of the year
In the team of the year my back 5 along with Rooney & Falcao made it to team of the year. Joined by 3 chelsea players and Coutinho from Liverpool

Other Leagues

In La Liga Barcelona retained there title on head to head record as the big two tied on points and goal difference. Bilbao have a awful season fighting relegation but just surviving. No sign of Messi & Ronaldo in the golden boot race led this year by Kevin Gameiro at Sevilla.

In Serie A Carlos Tevez averaged better than goal a game to lead Juventus to the title with Sampdoria finishing runner ups. Lots of new names on the top scorers sheets in Duvan Zapata, Simone Zaza & Ishak Belfodil

Pre Season
Man Utd make some huge sales but no major names coming in. YET
I take over the Portugal job. I announce i WILL win Ronaldo a world cup!
Jose Mourinho quits Chelsea and take over as Germany manager. His replacment is a familure foe Roberto Mancini.
Still jobs over Europe to fill with EPL managers linked with jobs at Real Madrid & PSV
Unai Emre leave Man City to take the Spain job. They bring another old face back to English football. Andre Villas-Boas
Speaking of Man City something i've not see in recent FM games. Man City were taken over by Danny King for £555m. Strange considering there valued at over £1b

We bring in a fantastic young midfielder from Feyenoord. Had bids on a few other youngsters but non come at reasonable prices. having seen what i paid for De Jong you can imagine how much they were after. Still working on a few more additions. One that could blow the universe! Two stars of last season leave us However. Valencia was beaten off by the age and the progression of Martin Odegaard forced my hand with him. Javier Hernandez is off to title rival Chelsea. He was asking to be a starter which i would never do and his ourtagours contract request led to me offering him for a outragous £40m. Chelsea & Arsenal both agreed term and he chose Chelsea in the end. Good youngster went on loan bad youngster went on a free.

All Summer Transfer

Chelsea
Maybe taking insperation from Sam91's story by spending there money on under 24 players. Great buisness getting £19m for Van Ginkel!

Arsenal
2 big signings for there midfield. Old boy Alex Song comes back for under £5m. And there major £26m buy from Inter Mauro Icardi. They finally cut there losses with Sanogo & Jenkinson

Man City
Two big signings. The biggest move of the summer by £1m was Iker Muniain. Maybe this move ruined my chance of signing a Bilbao u19 forward? David Santon a back up wing back is exactly what i needed! really missed the bus there. City let go of Klass Jan Hunterlaar for less than £1m!

Liverpool
Like Everton quite a few "depth" players join while there major sale with midfielder Emre Can joining Schalke for almost £20m. French international Maxime Gonalons has the job of replacing him.

Everton
Lots of coming and going but little excitment. They seem to have added epth for tehre Champions League assault, at least i hope so with back ups like Old Lassana Diarra, Michu 7 John Heitinga making a return.

Tottenham
Again its all about depth although Eugene Konoplyanka would like to prove me wrong.

Gotze forces his way into the starting 11. Rooney will fight with Falcao for the striker role. Like all natural progression and as the lack of depth suggest a lot will depend on the u18's stepping up when there chance comes.

Looking forward to following the thread as you progress through this season :)

Will be starting my second season with MUFC tonight ( was trying a Dortmund save but its a mess with injuries and no transfer budget). You've convinced me to keep a hold of Chico and to look into Gotze. That is outrageous return from him.

The only reason i bought him was as i was searching the interested players list and he was either unhappy or there was interest.

Manchster United sign Cristiano Ronaldo

The legend is back!

After 7 years at Madrid massively under used last term i looked at my finances and decided i was going to make this work! I then pulled out of all the youngsters i was after and offered the impossible to Ronaldo. To make up for the wage cut he will got 50% of any future fee. I plan to have him here till he retires but this is the one transfer that i will not be fussed about making money from. Hopefully i can sell Falcao for a reasonable return and make this look good on the bank.

On a side note at 31 he may be the oldest player i've bought for the 1st team in about 10 years of playing FM

Well done in CS but unlucky in ESC and wow Ronaldo is back! should win everything this season! lol

Ronaldo is still winning POTY awards and golden boots in to my save in 2020 so he has plenty of time left in him!

Thats great news! I thought maybe he'd do till the 2018 world cup then back up but i like the sounds of that

His attributes are still awesome too, he was top scorer for Madrid when I faced them in the Champions league, luckily he was injured!

His physical attributes are still top notch

If wasnt till the death that Rooney got the winning goal in a game we dominated but just lacked the killer touch. We also picked up a fine for getting 6 yellow cards! Scary that after the 1st game the guys were knackered too. Worst of which was Ronaldo lucky for us that it was only a knock and he'll be back soon.

Chelsea thump Everton & Tottenham are upset by new boys Norwich

I've noticed when you post your match reports you have an obscene amount of shots on goal. Is your tactic something you'd be willing to share?

United are a bit notorious if not tactically correct, and you might be onto a really impressive tactic worth making noise about.

Also nice one on the Ronaldo deal. €100 on him at 31 might seem a bit lavish, but his attributes will probably let you get a good 5 years out of him at least.

I posted the tactic with instructions a fw pages back.

The Ronaldo deal is something i would never usually do. Not only as my teams are usually so small but as you say there will be so little return in this deal in terms of cash. However when i got a offer & Contract accepted there was just nothing telling me to stop with this. Its a dream in real life so to do it in the game was a strong desire of mine. Another small pointed is if you take away the fee's for Falcao & Hernandez i paid roughly £20m after sign on fee's & development ect so to get the best player in the world and only be £20m out of pocket is a good day even if it is just for a few years.

Wowzas!! Big fee for a big signing!! Hope he pays of well, Im guessing he will do though as your tactics seem to be working a treat!!
