Hi all,
The thought just crossed my mind, that I do the same thing when I start a new game regardless of the team and was wondering if anyone else has the same sort of rituals.
eg. signings; tactics; staff etc.

Please post the first three things you do when you start a new game or take over a new team

So the first 3 things I do are:-
1) Sack pretty much all the previous staff and sign my own staff
2) Assess the squad and decide on transfers (IN and OUT)
3) Creating a tactic for my team

I create a tactic before I do transfers.

Review the players, see who the core of the team is and then create a tactic around them.
Find the weak links, look to get rid of them, and look to scout players in those positions.
Depending on the financial situation I'll look at improving facilities or asking for a parent/feeder club

Tactics, stick everyone with 2 star ability in the reserves (unless potential 3.5 stars +) and load training schedules. simples.

1) analyze the squad and transfer list the dead weight
2) follow up the analysis by selecting a formation that best fits the team
3) begin hunting for possible transfers

I normally deal with the staff and training schedules after a couple of days.

1) Hire and fire coaches/staff
2) load up 3 of my tactics and set match prep to high/teamwork
3) go into team policy and set my settings then I start offloading players at 200% of their current value

1) Hire new staff (most of the time there is no staff in the small clubs I manage)
2) load up 3 tactics
3) Make a spreadsheet of the players to analyse the team.

1. Set tactics
2. Set training schedules
3. Make requests to the board

1. Look over team
2. Tactics and training
3. Firing and hiring staff

1 - Hire a new assistant
2 - Rearrange preseason fixtures
3 - Request feeder/parent club

1) analyze squad and decide on positions to strengthen
2) renew contracts
3) tactics

1. Fire & Hire staff.
2. Set up all my tactics and set to Very High Workload
3. Get Assistant Manager team report so i know what areas to scout, buy and sell

1. Set tactics + very high workload on teamword
2. Usually play in the championship/league one so release half off my squad on free's to free up wages
3. scout report everyone with 2 legs :)

1. Analyse the whole squad (First team through to Under 18s) and transfer list any player considered not to be needed, in the present and for the future.

2. Create a tactic, without disrupting or changing the team's current tactic too much.

3. Request stuff from the board - feeder club, more finances, improve facilities etc.

1- Enter office and put up pictures of loved ones(namely Megan Fox).
2- Check to see if my chair is comfy.
3- Mess around on FM-Base.

real ones
1- Staff...remove/replace staff
2- Tactics...set my three tactics, match prep to V high and Teamwork
3- Mess around on FM-Base

Yeah I do exactly what you do except with 2 and 3 switched around. So

1) Sack pretty much all the previous staff and sign my own staff
2) Create a tactic for my team
3)Assess the squad and decide on transfers (IN and OUT)
