Yeah lad I think what cost you with the tactic is using eriksen as the roaming playmaker..
I dunno how he looks on the original patch but here im looking at him at my almeria save and he looks pretty much useless nowadays especially defensively..

Do Note the defensive abilities and Physicality of this player compared to Eriksen (I find quite a difference.)

Yeah, I used Eriksen mostly because of his reputation and technical abilites. But Mainoo and McTominay also played quite a few matches. Mainoo is the most promising RPM in the squad, so he will be first choice from now on and I've sold Eriksen.

Btw, I've noticed something on the average position heatmaps. The VOL and AP are always really close, but the RPM and SS are miles apart. Could it be an idea to swap the SS and AP for more balance?

I dunno about the heatmaps in your particular save lad but my general idea was that the volante would make runs in the zone where the shadow striker is if he was on the right hence I keep him on the left. You can give it a go and see if anything is better for you.
The main issue however is as I mentioned you need a good RMP and centerbacks (also get rid of onana nowadays pretty useless eccentricity 19).
