Everytime I come back to Football Manager I come back to your threads, I don't know what it is, I just find you extremely reliable with tactics. I was that impressed the last time around with the possession and the goals that I was just soaking up the hours, it was some great fun.
Now onto serious business as always I'm looking to start a new game and would like to know if the Bomb 4-4-2 and the Impossible 4-2-3-1 are effective on the latest version? I love the possession and the goals, and from what I remember from the early 4-4-2 posts when the game was released, they were bleeding excellent. Lots of possession home and away with the home based tactic, lots of action throughout, goals, goals and goals, it was some stunning stuff.
It would be nice to hear back from you, as I may look into playing the game at some point over the weekend. I just hope the wingers or inside forwards are still scoring goals for fun, as they are my favourite positions that I concentrate on.

Summary
Home i should use impossible v2 with counter and high line and away impossible v2 with high d-line right???

I played impossible v2 (high or highest d-line) in almost games (in my first season).
Nevertheless, my 2nd season in league 1 was very difficult. I had a huge series of defeat. So, I had to change for Bomb to save me from relegation.
This game is very hard when you get just promoted and when you made several transfert to improve your team. There are big problems with team cohesion and your players play very bad football (ex : your goalkeeper passes the ball directly to striker opponent therefore he has all the time to adjust a shoot in your net)...Jassar could you confirm this ?

I just said I played all of my games with Impossible V2 with d-line high or highest.
With the offside trap?

hi jassar, im an old pro on here i made a very succesfull 4132 tactic for last years fm that actually did very well in alifeandys testing project but was struggling on this years version, until now. i am using your bomb for 14.3 and while i do think it is a good set of tactics i think your defensive line advice is by far the most determining factor for this game. what i do is start with the attacking version in most matches, im chelsea so im usually favourite, in my first season im unbeaten in 22 games and i have a team of kids! and they are all new nd the tactics are not even completely fluid so its only going to get better once they get settled etc, my team is cech danillo balanta terry sandro oscar verrti hazzard griezman jese eto. what i do is simpl follow what you said, if a team scores many many passing goals i push up and play offside, if they also score alot of crosses i play wider, if they never score crosses i play narrow. if they concede alot of crosses exploit flanks if they are never conceding crosses i play through the middle. one thing i feel i should advise you on....when playing very weak teams who dont attack at all or are very very much underdogs the i switch to overload on the attacking version play deep and the results are incredible, just beat austria wien 11 0 in the champions league and had 40 shots. anyway just wanted to say thanx and that anyone who is struggling just use opposition scouting report and common sense and you wont be far off, cheers

I have been using the JJASSAR 442 tactic for a while now but i am conceding loads of goals. I am Liverpool with roughly the original squad, version 4.3.1. I have just finished my first season 2nd behind Chelsea by 16 points. I scored 80 goals but conceded 49!!
I have not changed the tactic in any way. I dont really want to change to another tactic as i like using the wingers. Any advice guys?View attachment 389544

i didnt have any tactics (442 ) yet in 14.3.1 ...so thats why the defense is like that .... i am on it will post something solid soon

hi there jassar, i really enjoy yours tactics, and im playing with impossible v2 home, tiki taka away and MM for when im getting shreded...I always check the odds and change d line, but one thing im in doubt, do i change the shape and penetration too? or just leave unticked?
also, wich shouts do u recommend for holding up a lead? i dont feel like changing mentality is the way to go...maybe rentain possesion and what more?

i don't change shape as it will decrease the mentality level i keep the tacticxs as it is when i am 2 goals up as it have happened to me a lot of times that i have given away the lead if i change anything
