Good season excluding the Europa cup . It's very important to play to ur strengths in away and home matches .which tactics u used and which patch u played

Well I lost away game 1-0 and at home I was in front 3-1 as I choice to go counter at 70 min and it became 3-2 at 85 min so the won on away goals.
and the cup match I kinda played b team so first could get some rest because it was 3rd match in 7 days and the screwed it up at extra time

Yes sometimes I h e seen too going counter can back fire

am wondering how to stop it as well. a lot of times i have situation when opponent chasing me down and scoring and drawing finally. i just can't stop them, changing to counter mentality not working too good. any ideas?

U need to make DW and ur cms to defend duty . Than lower tempo , retain possession , work ball into box and play out of defense will all help wasting time . And sometime I use my CB as stoppers and put defensive line to highest. Higher up with offside ticked on . So when they are coming at u they will not retain possession . They will just kick long balls to get the ball forward . And I have defended the leed quite well with this.

I dont change the mentality . If I do change I put it to control .


and I man mark their wingers with my wingers and Their striker with my dm

Yes I know that's the hard part .... I look very care fully at the commentary going down at the bottom . When it says the other team is going on attacking ...that time I make these change mostly and I always tick the above changes through out the match mainly in second half

the main reason I see people complaining about this fm 14 is that they loose or draw a match because they play the whole match as they started . In fm 13 yes it was very successful but fm 14 if the computer is loosing they will be a totally different team after half time . So what I do is I most probably play my attacking football in first half and if I am in lead as I am in most of the matches . I just do the above simple things and it's really hard for opponents to score .

Jassar, did you notice that now the players are moving much more fluidly and supporting each other much better in 14.2.1 than in 14.2? Especially the midfielders are now getting much more involved in supporting the attack and helping out the defense.

Yes that's what I am talking about from yesterday . First touch and player movements along with one on one are inproved . Some people just play the matches in full speed that's why they don't notice . I play it at normal speed and I know I make tactics , there is a difference in the play

Absolutely agree that there's a difference in the ME. SI probably just didn't say that the tweak the ME because they never admitted that 14.2 was buggy in the first play.

Hey Jassar! Just an update, I took your advice and completed a season using your MM tactic. It was my fourth year in charge of Spurs and every season, I just snuck into the top 4 but really looked nowhere the top of the league.

With your tactic:
- Went most the season undefeated
- Won the Capital One Cup (beating Chelsea)
- Chelsea were amazing too and kept ****** winning... they lost the last game of the season away to Reading and I won the league by 2 points!
- Chelsea beat me in Champions League final 3-1; I was winning 1-0 at half time

Great results !! Do change at half time to just control the game and don't give away silly goals as it happened to u in CL final . Try retaining ball rather than giving away cheaply and do keep players behind ball with changing mentality to control or balanced . Hope next year u gets that crown of CL too

It could happen, you know even in real life. You are playing away at Juve so this could happen. The question is: Does this happen all the time or most of the time with other team too?

It happened to me too one time. I was playing Norwich away (I'm playing newcastle of course) and after leading 3-1 at around the 76th minute I took the foot of the gas and drop back deeper to play it safe. Well, they scored from a corner and a free kick.

Note to self: If you are in control of the match, don't change anything!

I have been using your tweaked Tiki Taka for some time now. Been using Man Utd, and dominating the league and CL through 3 seasons. Managed to get 92 PL games undefeated. In my 4th season is started using the d-line more, which haven't worked for me. It seems like my CM's isn't getting forward enough to make the most of my attacks. But I found a way to handle corners. After my change I have played 22 games and only 1 goal scored against me on corners, and that was from a volley when I cleared the ball to the edge of the box.

Yes I am working on it mate ...it will be a great tactics in 14.2.1 ...

That's just insane !! Maybe bad luck .. But did u find that ur team played better and made better use of ball with those tips or no?

yes, the definitely were more focus on defend, and Juve didn't have ANY chances before those two in very last 2 minutes.

i can accept that situation, but after they pushing me through all match, not when they scoring like that in last 2 minutes, cos in this case this looks like some formula in ME "they cannot lose, not too many time to make them win, so at least we make them draw".

Those are great stats u mentioned here . Post SS of defending corners ...I will give it a go
