I'm in 2017 and my swansea team is great, i have Manuel Fernandes, Alvarez Balanta, Michu, Shalvey, Bony and good regens so i'm not underdog and my team is predict to be the first,
I won everything in season 2016/2017 using fake tik-taka since mid of season.
Now i'll try to be unbeaten for an entire season.

i use D-Line Play, Def. Position on Match Training and Balanced as General.
i made a copy of the tactic so my team is training using the normal tactic and other version with control mentality.

Good results .i have no idea why mcr as McL playin like that for you as both have same instructions
 
if my opponent has scored a fair few goals from crosses, do i play a high d line or a deeper d line? or is there something else i do?

Than you have to check how have they scored . If few from crosses and passes and more from long balls than deeper d line . If few from crosses and more from passes and less from Lon balls than high d line
 
I wouldn't recommended using report of opposition early in season. After at least 10 matches or even later.

I played against bologna with milan, after I got report, that they score mostly with build up...so I started with high line. Result was 6 CCC in 20 minutes. I changed immediately to deeper line. I was very lucky, I scored from penalty and from corner and won off course ...with clean sheet. I also changed to contain in last 10 minutes after they received red card.
 
Jassar how do you deal with the fact that there are only 3 slots for tactics, and we should often change mentality and tactics team during the match?

I made all tactics fluid and if I chage d line .... It won't put any affect .... But when we change mentality it makes tactics a Little less fluid but that is ok I never felt like players are not playing well .

Just to let you know. TNA 14.3 away is the best tactic for me atm. Have won WC with Poland using this tactic. In the final i've beaten Germany comfortably.

Yeah, few draws, but i am very happy with them...i am unbeaten so far. Until now, there is no crazy results, so tactic is balanced...defence is decent. My team is far from great, so those results are nice...i changed a little bit the formation-jassar suggestion.

I put one of DLP to deeper position for extra cover...i play with that formation in all kind of matches(home, away). I have loaded different mentalities(control, counter, attacking), because of familiarity level. Although, tactic isnt fluid yet, but who care, i getting good and stable results :D I didnt concede a single goal from set pieces.

I experimenting a lot and i am really enjoying with analyzing opponents and fu*k them in the **** :P

I would suggest, if you chasing a goal, that you change strategy to attacking in last 30 minutes and go with shouts "roam from positions" and "be more expressive". If you still cant score, go overload and move CM to AMC position...it doesnt matter, how you lose, defeat is still defeat.

If you need to protect a lead, change mentality to contain to waste time and change FBs to defend...i did that against ajax with 9 men.

I ALWAYS change to counter strategy, when i am in the lead.

i make sure my d line is correct than I either play possession for one half keeping the ball and wait for the opening or if I am still 0-0 at half time I move d line to highest and throw one of the CB to striker position as pressure them most of the time I wins
