FM 2011: Your worst signing

Well, I just got FM11 Full game, and didnt do any transfers on my saves. But I once signed Hulk on the demo and he scored extraordinary 4 goals In 29 matches, 23M...All gone.

Andreas Granqvist for Spurs... £9.5m for a solid centre back who wasn't even reserve worthy :S

Mr. Aguero cost me 39mil. I was really hoping he'd be a success but it wasn't to be. I really needed a better striker, because at the time Adebayor was out for 8 months with injury and Tevez was injured for 4 months.
I'd sold Jo and Santa Cruz earlier on in the season.
Oh well guess thats FM for you lol. :P
 
mine was simon mignolet. i signed him for 8m in second season. i could never imagine that gk can be that bad. he was a joke.

i jsut signed mignloet for 6.5 mill -- he looks quite good
 
In one of my saves, van der Wiel... believe it or not, he was awful...
in 7 games (5 league, 1 cup & 1 CL) - 3 red cards & 3 own goals

Tryed changing his position (from DR to WBR - rotated the tactic) & tryed every role...

16 mil, and from covering my usual right back who was then injured he made it directly to the reserves bench :(
(but in another save he was wonderful... amazing isn't it?)
 
I know it's a bump but I would like to share this with you and there is no point making another thread on it.

Mine was Yann M'Vila. He looks good. Is supposed to be good but after 3 seasons of him and after trying everything to get him to perform well nothing worked. From 3 seasons he managed to collect an astounding amount of yellow and red cards, absolutely no goals or assists. He was horrible so I decided to sell him to Inter.
 
although kadlec is supposed to be one of best strikers, he is ****** schoking in my save
 
I was looking for a right winger and asked here on FM-Base. I was told to buy Pastore but Palmero wanted £62m for him. So I signed Douglas Costa at the beginning of the 2014 season for £18m, only to find out he's an attacking central midfielders, he was very ineffective. But this was before the latest update, maybe I should have kept hold of him.
 
I signed Asier Del Horno on a free, for my League 1 team. Was rated as my best player by a complete mile. Just turned 31 and he never averaged more than 5.5 a game. That is shockingly awful for a player who played for Chelsea. Sold him 3 months later for £27k.
 
Gotta be Nathan Luscombe for Bradford from Sunderland. God awful, only made 3 league appearances after being injured and had average rating of 5.48, didn't even play that many for reserves after I demoted him.
 
Leonel Galeano for 7.5m to Dinamo. Yeah, he's great against the small rep clubs, but bring him Real Madrid, Man Utd or any of the big guns and the cretin is certain to freeze up, concede a penalty or get subbed off (and yelled at - by me, through the screen - surely, I'm not the only one who does that) in the first half when his rating drops to 5.8. All this even though my coaches are certain that "Leonel Galeano relishes the big matches". For ******* sure he does.
Just signed/overpaid Andre Bikey for 10mil from Lorient to have a cover defender that doesn't leak goals like this asstard does. At 29 years old, that'll turn into 3.3m/season + wages and appearance fees - still a bargain compared to Galeano if the man does his job well. Maybe in the meanwhile, little Leo learns his ******* trade.
 
i purchased sergio romero an argentinian international gk.
Reports say he is quality player but whenever i play him i concede at least 3 goals and gives a rating of about 5.3!!
 
On my Everton save, the award goes to a Christian Benitez- Signed for about £2.3 Million, the lad just doesn't score... and for my Liverpool save, Edin Dzeko- Cost me 23 Million, but hasn't a PL goal after 1 season..
 
Jay Bothroyd £6mill - For Sunderland in Prem.

Simply awful - 1st Season 38 games 1 goal , 2nd Season 14 games 0 goals - Sold to Villa for £3mill . He never got a game for them for over 3 seasons!
 
Eljero Elia. Bought him for Liverpool in the summer for £15million. Played 15 games. Scored 0 - Assists 0 - Rating of 6.85 and got injured twice.

Sold him to Valencia in January for £15m so I didn't lose out really.
