Worth it in my opinion. I bought it full price. The changes took a bit of getting used to, but I prefer it now to FM13. The shout system is excellent, for the most part, and I'm happy that it's much harder to exploit the match engine.
In previous editions you could create a tactic that was unstoppable, similar to the GRID 4-1-2-3 tactic in FM 2012 where you could simulate the season and win pretty much everything, even with a bad team. In FM 2013 there were a couple of 4-4-2 tactics that were nearly unbeatable.
