Really keen to have a go at this, is a really good story/challenge!

Gutted that Harrison still hadn't made a cup appearance :(

some pretty solid ratings from him though in the league :)

Teamsheet: CHORLEY (A) (28/10/14)

(4-4-2)

REDGRAVE

BANANA MANBEARPIG BURHEIM FIREBIRD

POST PATRIK YAKIN II WHYTE

ROBERTS WILLIAMS

Bench: THAME, THOMPSON, PETERS, BIGGUN, GOYZUETA

Two up front for this one, as we test the formation against weak opposition. Williams needs to improve though, he's been poor recently. Hopefully the support of a second striker will provide this.

Despite our total domination, we went in one behind on the stroke of half time, Firebird not picking up his marker properly. Goyzueta replaced Roberts at HT.

The change did the trick, Goyzueta providing for Williams to slot home. Parity was restored for all of a minute or so, Manbearpig missing a header to allow them to score. Biggun and Peters came on in a bid to try and force the issue.

Williams managed to get his second when Post smashed a shot against the post, and was able to get there before the keeper. Williams should have won it for us in the 92 min, but missed a sitter.

We dominated, but our marking was shoddy, and the back 4 have a few questions to answer after a disappointing display.

Ratings: Redgrave 6.6, Banana 6.7, Manbearpig 6.6, Burheim 6.9, Firebird 6.4, Post 7.2, Pinter 6.8, Yakin II 6.7, Whyte 6.7, Williams 8.8, Roberts 6.4. Subs: Peters 6.7, Biggun 6.7, Goyzueta 6.8

Well that didn't work! :P

I'm not convinced by it yet. The lack of a CAM meant link up play at times was very poor. Admittedly, we weren't helped by one of our worst defensive displays of the season.

Maybe do a 4-1-2-1-2? And it could be your cup formation? Or, do 3 at the back and do 3-4-1-2?

A quick analysis of the strikers shows me that Williams is the worst currently for shots on target. Roberts and Goyzueta have comparatively higher percentages. A conversation with David Jupp, HOY, has led to Williams now being told to refrain from taking long shots, in a bid to make him use the ball more sensibly.

Meanwhile, Banana is to be trained at Left Back, and Biggun is working on increasing his stamina levels.

I'm looking at working on a 5-3-2 for the harder cup games, so it is something that could come as an offshoot from that. While I'm working on it though, the 4-2-3-1 is likely to return.

Why hasn't Harrison played in the last 3 games? Is he injured? Or just not playing well? :D

if pattern go to form, Thame should play the next match and get dropped for 2 matches.

damnnnn, bad game when the gaffer is looking to finalize the spot. Shouldn't have seen that gal yesterday night.....

gotta lose that number.....

Both left backs were poor, going to try something different in this next one.

You're right on one count, Thame is in goal for the next match. Redgrave has made a couple of errors, so provided Thame plays well, he'll keep the spot for now.

Rotation mainly, that and he hasn't been at his best in the couple of games preceeding that. Should be in the XI for at least one of the next two though.

Another assist to the name of Post. 2-2 is a poor result unfortunately, but kudos for testing a different pattern.

At least I didn't make any personal errors that lead to goals, even though performing the best of a bad back 4 isn't that ideal :P

Teamsheet: BOSTON UNITED (H) (1/11/14)

(4-4-2)

THAME

THUNDERFOOT HARRISON THOMPSON BANANA

LITMANEN PALMER PETERS BAKER

ROBERTS WILLIAMS

Bench: REDGRAVE, SCHWARZENEGGER, PATRIK, BIGGUN, GOYZUETA

The 4-4-2 gets another outing, as we continue to test our options. Banana starts at left back, behind Baker, whilst Litmanen returns on the right. Despite his poor showing last time out, Roberts retains his place alongside Williams. Thame makes his first start in 3 matches.

Roberts should have scored after 20 seconds, but the shot is probably still travelling vertically even as this is typed. Baker spared his blushes by turning in a Banana free kick however. An OG 5 mins later doubled our lead.

Nothing happened then until the 64th minute, when Roberts smashed one into the bottom corner after good work from Williams. McGhee and Williams then traded goals as we continued to control the match. A keeper error saw Williams get his second in the 84th min.

Side Note: Thompson out for 3 weeks - damaged elbow

Ratings:
Thame 7.8, Thunderfoot 8, Thompson 8.2, Harrison 7.7, Banana 8.6, Litmanen 8.5, Peters 7.2, Palmer 7.7, Baker 8.8, Roberts 8.6, Williams 9.3 Subs: Biggun --

**** no signal at work. I see I'm playing ok. Hattrick! Whoop! You didn't lose that match did you? This is great. Any updates tonight?

Seems like I'm picking up yellows for fun. At least my ratings are good. Not as many assists as I would like though. When is going to be the next screenshots of all players stats?
