Just caught up. Ace story and I'm playing well. Only one without some kind of international call up though lol. Oh well. Great read!

I can see the stats that are holding manbearpig back. Even if he is the highest average rating for a player on the team. I was hopeing he would develop into a set piece monster being the tallest player on the team and the highest jumping one as well.

I was a touch surprised, but it did mean that Mason was still fully fit after the break, so that was nice.

With the right training, I can see him making progress. There is plenty of competition at centre back, so it is difficult trying to keep everyone happy.

FA Cup 4th Qual Draw

We get Wrexham at home if we progress. Not an easy match for us, but it'll be nice to test the squad against a higher calibre of player. Home crowd behind us as well, that'll help a lot.

International Round Up

Williams makes his Wales debut, now has 2 caps, 0 goals.

Firebird makes India debut, 1 cap, 0 goals.

Post now 3 caps, 0 goals for Andorra.

Are the rest of the players getting any game-time at u19 / u21 - level?

The majority of the players had some U19's game time last time, but only 4 players were called up this time.

Wooooow!!!! Nice!!! Hope FireBird can carry the same for to FM Base and push Olly Whyte for the first choice LB :P

REDGRAVE

THUNDERFOOT BURHEIM SCWARZENEGGER WHYTE

DANCE YAKIN II

MASON PETERS BAKER

ROBERTS

Bench: THAME, MANBEARPIG, BANANA, PALMER, PATRIK, HOGG, GOYZUETA

A fairly standard squad for our biggest match yet. The main surprise is the absence of Harrison, but having looked off the pace in recent matches, Burheim is given a chance to impress. Whyte is assured of the LB spot with Firebird still not returned from international duty. Williams misses out after his international exertions, whilst Manbearpig is fit enough for the bench after his USA U20's appearances. Yakin II beats Palmer to the remaining CM spot, with Dance in fine form.

We got off to the worst possible start after Whyte conceded a penalty after 3 mins. Redgrave went the right way, but couldn't quite stop the shot. Mason responded by immediately going down the other end and curling one just over the bar. Roberts then hit the post two minutes later.

Our pressure paid off, and Mason powered home from a Roberts set up. Dance then surged forward to give us the lead soon after. It was clear Whyte was struggling though, having suffered a knock in conceding the penalty, so Banana came on at RB, Thunderfoot shifting to the left.

A missed interception by Burheim nearly cost us, but Redgrave dealt with the situation well. That came back to haunt Histon as Roberts produced a finish out of nowhere to give us a two goal lead. A hattrick soon followed; a tap in from a Schwarzenegger knock down.

Half time saw Hogg return from injury, replacing Baker on the left. Within 8 mins, he had an assist, setting up Cap'n Peters for a tap in. With the game over at this point, Manbearpig replaced Arnie. Hogg then proceeded to finish from an impossible angle. Peters grabbed another late on, whilst Hogg picked up a knock, as we sailed through the tie to meet Wrexham.

Side note: Hogg out for 3 weeks with a damaged elbow. Shame, he's been good when fit.

Ratings: Redgrave 7.8, Thunderfoot 8.4, Burheim 8.8, Schwarzenegger 8.3, Whyte 6.2, Dance 9.2, Yakin II 8.4, Mason 9.5, Peters 9.5, Baker 6.9, Roberts 9.5. Subs: Manbearpig 6.7, Banana 8.3, Hogg 8.1.

REDGRAVE

BANANA MANBEARPIG HARRISON FIREBIRD

PALMER PINTER

LITMANEN BIGGUN WILLIAMS

GOYZUETA

Bench: THAME, THOMPSON, DANCE, POST, BAKER

With a gruelling fixture list ahead, rotation is going to be especially important for the next few games. Thompson makes the bench having just returned to training, with a view to starting the next game. Biggun and Pinter both get starts, with Litmanen and Williams as the wide men. Goyzueta replaces Roberts, who is rested ready for the cup game next weekend.

We grabbed the lead in the 17th minute, Harrison finishing a Banana corner. Goyzueta doubled the lead after latching onto a long ball over the top and rifling home. Fylde did managed to sneak one home to cut the advantage however. Rowe doubled his and his teams tally when a low drive went through Redgrave, and we started to look shaky. We did get the lead back before HT though, Biggun netting his first competitive goal for the club, before Litmanen curled one in.

The second half was dour in comparison, and nothing happened until Post finished an easy chance in the 78th min. With the only other event of note being Thompson coming on to complete his return from injury, we closed out the win.

Ratings: Redgrave 7, Banana 8.1, Manbearpig 6.9, Harrison 7.8, Firebird 6.8, Patrik 7.5, Palmer 6.9, Litmanen 9, Biggun 7.8, Williams 6.6, Goyzueta 8.6. Subs: Thompson 6.7, Dance 6.8, Post 7.2.

Nice, Banana's playing well. Hopefully he can get a few caps for Netherlands or Congo

Currently capped at U19 level for the Netherlands.

EDIT: Personally I would prefer the Netherlands. Cuts out the risk of losing a player for a month for the AFCON.

Good to see both squads producing results. Must make you confident about rotating! Will be exciting to see how we perform against higher level opposition.
