How usefull is a player controlled Keeper?

Assuming they have decent stats (as to surpass that of the AI's) and know what they're doing, extremely useful. Very hard to beat a good keeper, I've been on both ends. Biggest thing that catches out player controlled keepers is they dive for crosses, miss, and someone at the back post heads into an open net, seen it countless times.

Your suggestion of how to train Keepers up has made me think of trying it out...

What is a "better than AI" attribute number would you say? 80 +?

Yeh anywhere in the 80+ region would be a safe bet.

All depends I guess. I was playing Be A Pro Ranked Matches when I was trying to improve my keeper at the beginning. Wasn't until I was at 80 I decided to do something different, coming up with what I said above. In 1 game of 20 minute halves I was up to 83. So if I had to guess (assuming your starting from scratch) I'd estimate maybe 5 games of 20 minute halves or so? You might get lucky, you might not. Good luck anyway ^^)

Curious to what points this club is on? The one im in is about 2500 at the moment, seems to go up then back down constantly :@
 
We currently have 2811 points and are close to being level 26. We're also a five star club! :)

Shows how much notice I take of clubs haha, didnt even know there were levels or stars!

Do you play cup matches? If so how many have you won?
 
Nah haven't played any cup matches as of yet but might do soon.. just been playing League matches and doing well..
 
My teams won 4 cups, a semi final the other night we went down 2-0 in the first 5 mins (1 was a shocking penno decision)

we got level then the scores went back and forth until extra time. Game ended 6-5 in our favour, with 2 goals for each team in extra time. 1 goal each in 120th min!

Then we won the final in extra time, gripping stuff lol.

Would love to be in your team though, shame its on ps3!

Looks like you have defending trouble with the AI, I'm not a defender but I track back so much I may aswell be lol
 
With my old club we only did cup matchs on the last 2 days of the season as the league position you have it pretty much going to be the same.

Cup matchs are much more exciting then League matchs but also annoying if you lose in Semi's/Final.

Won 2 cups with my old team, It puts your points up a great deal, we got to 6000 at one point because of them. Only bad thing is it takes a while to find a match as you need to find someone else in the same round as you looking for a cup match to.

It always finds a cup game stright away for us, maybe theres more people playing now than when you tried. To be honest I leave everything up to my mate to fiddle with for the team. I thought there were just kind of - find a game - matches, and then cup matches. Do these league matches put you on a table or somthing?
 
The captain press's triangle on the team select screen and then you can pick cup match, if you only play cup matchs that you would be a non-league team in the British Isle's.

If you play league matchs you get into a league, Were currently in the 3rd out of 50
