FM-Base Players Section

I've given the players section a little redesign today and I think it looks a lot better this way.

It's just a shame though that there aren't that many players in it. It would be brilliant though if someone would like help by adding players for me. If you are interested then please send me a private message.

The next things I am wanting to do is ti actually implement the thumbs up/down feature which will allow visitors to say wether or not the player is good and their rating will be effected depending on what they choose. I also plan on changing the rating star to be colour coded depending on what the players rating is...

Eg:
1-50: Blue
50-70: Orange
70-80: Red
80-90: Green
90+: Yellow

or something along those lines anyway.

i think it looks great and if u can get the non-league players up there as well it would most useful.
 
Well right now I'm trying to sort it out so that anyone can add a player. Should hopefully make life easier for me.

What about a prime age stat on players profiles
Like Prime by: 2011
 
Players primes will often change though depending on training, first team football, etc...

hey sean im up for adding players for you i love doing that sort of thing! ou'll have to tell me a way to do this pm if you can and add Marquinos to the list. hope to hear from ya.

Sean just put Marquinhos on there but couldn't find a decent pic, Can you see if you can?

When adding a player you still need a user/login to upload a picture. Is it supposed to be like that?

Ah yes I just spotted that. It's been removed now. I wandered why nobody was adding pictures :D
 
You can now vote on each player. So get voting (honestly) to help other users when they are looking for players.
 
Just been checking this out; looks like you've put a lot of time and effort into it.

One feature that would be very useful would be to be able to search by the purchase price of a player - i.e. if you have a budget of $200,000 for a Left Back to be able to search for players that don't exceed $200k in the Full Back category.

Don't know how hard that is but if the numbers are already in a field then providing a small search capability may be not too hard - you tell me :)

Just a suggestion anyway - looking good!
 
u could probably do all that
just with a few if functions
and mysql queries

then u would av a solid thumbs up or thumbs down :D
 
It is possible and I'm sure it's quite simple to create filters like that. My PHP/mySQL knowledge is very limited though :(
 
id write u a script out but i havent done it for about 5 years
if i get ma *** in gear tho, al do a bit :D
 
If you can point me in the direction of some sort of tutorial then I'm sure I will be able to put a simple search/filter on the players pages.
 
i think its a great idea havin this sean..although there arent enuf plyers tbh
iv added a couple..although i'll add more l8r on ;)
