I have recently started working on a database that I have called “FM-Baseania”. This country will replace Wales, so will be part of the United Kingdom. Welsh players will now be “FM-Baseanian”. This database will contain a single league with 10-14 teams, depending on how good the reaction to this is. I have PMed a number of mods about the idea, in the hope that they will be participating, with a team named after them, and their player named as captain of the team. As you may know, this kind of thing has been attempted before, but as far as I know, not been completed. Therefore, I’m going to put the work in to hopefully make this the first database of its kind.

The teams will each be filled with 25 players, who each will be custom-made players using the editor, based on you, the FM-Base community. I have already contacted selected people, such as those on my Friends List, to ensure that they get first chance to get in on the action, as well as those that moderators have requested be involved, and some IRC inhabitants . There will be a minimum post count of 100, to ensure regular members have first choice to get in on the action. Also, if I know you are trustworthy or are an IRC regular or a Premium member, I will let you join. All you need to do if you wish to take part is fill in the following template:

Obviously, this project will not be completed in days, so please be patient. I will do my best to keep you updated on how I’m going with the editor, and the status on how many teams there are. If interest completely dies out, then I will use the players that have signed up and fill the rest of the team with real life wonderkids.

The ideas I have for this are good, but not perfect, therefore, I would appreciate any suggestions for the database, such as what to do in terms of transfers (ie. Let them happen, and if not, how to stop them?), and anything else you can think of.

Mods will have 120 CA and -10 PA.
Premium members and IRC regulars will have 105 CA and -9 PA.
Non-premium members will have 90 CA and -9 PA.
