FM Classic easier

Ever since I started playing Classic mode I feel like it is set-up to be easier. It seems tactics don't have as much influence as in normal mode. I wanted to get your input on this since I feel like I'm not winning because of my tactics but because this mode was made easier. What do you guys think?

I've not played it, but I am fairly sure it is the same tactics system and same ME, so it shouldn't make a difference. Don't think there are team talks,match preparation or opposition instructions on FMC, so maybe that's why?
