Part 5

DOVER HIT THE JACKPOT !!!

With Dover looking to be heading towards the edge of their famous white cliffs a Christmas present arrived 2 weeks early.

The present was an absolutely massive amount of money through a sponsorship deal. As you can tell in the video shown in part 4 I was just as stunned as you probably were when watching it.

(Manager added to Dover purely to see their finances in depth, game will be re-loaded without interference when experiment resumes)

Never in my previous experience of playing Football Manager games have I seen sponsorship deals bring that much money into a club, especially one that was in such financial difficulties. I was fully expecting to be signing off this experiment with Dover selling all of their best players, being relegated, and having some sort of points deduction. However, as it stands they appear to be loaded again. Will they make the same mistakes this time around?

Part 6

NO THRILLS AS DOVER FINISH MID-TABLE

As the 2020/21 drew to a close, Dover Athletic finished 11th in the Premier League. Despite finishing 1 position higher than the previous year there were no real signs that Dover would become a stronger force and no superstar signings were made.

It was at this point that I made my decision....

The next part will be the conclusion of this experiment. I am going to simulate the next 5 seasons so that the game is 10 years into the future of when Dover were given Premier League status and the £1B bank balance.

Will they eventually become champions?

Find out in Part 6
