FM Genie Scout 2010 Thread

Genie scout is a program that shows you several things for the players that the scouts in game don't. you can see:

a player's current ability
a player's potential ability
the value you can buy him for
etc
etc

also many things about how well he can perform in certain positions.

any news on the 10.3 one?

Interesting timing. I just started a new game yesterday and managed to claw up some decent staff purely based on memory and searching.

Might avoid using Genie this time around and have a completely 'clean' game.

Ok I just downloaded GS to try and find young potential superstars.... What tributes do you guys specifically focus on in finding cheap prospects that can produce HUGE.

I figured obviously you want someone who's Potential ability is high and as they approach that PA level then their value goes up. So the idea is to find someone who's current ability is kinda low but not too low but has a sky rocket PA that way you can buy them cheap and hopefully they'll develop nicely?

What do you guys typically look for. Keep in mind I'm currently Leeds so don't have a Man City type of budget

I prefer finding young players with fairly high determination, bravery, agression as they tend to play their heart out. Also good attributes for players not especially technically gifted but perform very big - Ivica Olic - type.
Since you're using GS also look at their consistency, important matches rating and avoid players who are very injury prone as they tend to never reach their PA, cause they're always injured. Also avoid players who have low ambition/ low pressure and low professionalism as they tend to - not improve their attributes very much / perform badly as soon as a some media hype or a big club interest comes along / whine about training workload.

I have started in LVL 10 and for some reason genie scout wont load up that game save. Any ideas??
